El presidente del Consejo de Ministros, Alberto Otárola Peñaranda, enfatizó que la lucha frontal contra la criminalidad, así como los trabajos de prevención ante el fenómeno El Niño, son prioridades para este Gobierno, en su labor de proteger la integridad de todos los peruanos y peruanas.

En el marco del primer día de estado de emergencia en varios distritos del país para reforzar la seguridad ciudadana, el premier acudió hoy a la provincia de Sullana, en Piura, y coordinó con las autoridades civiles y policiales las acciones correspondientes para salvaguardar el bienestar de los ciudadanos.

Tras realizar una visita inopinada a la comisaría del sector, el titular de la PCM, junto al ministro del Interior, Vicente Romero, sostuvo una reunión con el gobernador regional, Luis Neyra, y los alcaldes distritales de Sullana.

“La presidenta Dina Boluarte nos encargó conversar con los señores alcaldes sobre los alcances de esta declaratoria de emergencia. Vamos a trabajar en el mejoramiento de 10 comisarías, financiar proyectos de espacios públicos para los jóvenes y llevar a cabo un trabajo intenso de ubicación y captura de los delincuentes que han sembrado terror en esta zona”, manifestó Otárola.

En el encuentro participaron también los alcaldes distritales de Bellavista, Marcavelica, Querecotillo, Miguel Checa, Lancones, Ignacio Escudero y Salitral, de la provincia de Sullana.

Asimismo, estuvieron presentes el viceministro de Gobernanza Territorial de la PCM, Paúl Caiguaray; el alcalde provincial de Sullana, Marlem Mogollón; el jefe de la Macro Región Policial Piura, Gral. PNP Miguel Ángel Cayetanos; y el comandante general de la Primera Brigada de Caballería del Ejército Peruano, Gral de Brigada Alberto Torres Vargas.

Otárola Peñaranda resaltó el liderazgo de los burgomaestres para el éxito de esta iniciativa y adelantó que el próximo viernes se reunirán con la mandataria Dina Boluarte.

A su vez, apuntó que se ha encargado el orden interno a la Policía Nacional, pero también se ha autorizado el apoyo de las Fuerzas Armadas en puntos estratégicos.

Enfatizó que la medida no pretende afectar los negocios locales. “No hay ningún toque de queda, lo que se está restringiendo son algunas actividades porque queremos proteger la integridad de las familias que todos los días son víctimas de actos vandálicos”, precisó.

DESCOLMATACIÓN Y LIMPIEZA
En otro momento, la comitiva supervisó las tareas de limpieza y descolmatación que se llevan a cabo en la quebrada Pajaritos.

Estos esfuerzos apuntan a reducir los riesgos y la vulnerabilidad existente por la ocurrencia del referido fenómeno climatológico, que traería un incremento del caudal del río Piura.

Al respecto, el premier señaló que a la fecha se ha destinado más de 524 millones de soles en esta región, en los tres niveles de gobierno. Este monto incluye lo dispuesto en dos decretos supremos expedidos hoy, que autorizan una transferencia por más de S/141 millones a los municipios de Piura y Castilla.

“Invoco a las autoridades a hacer uso eficiente y oportuno de los recursos. Estamos desplegando todos nuestros esfuerzos en los trabajos de prevención en las regiones declaradas en emergencia”, finalizó.

Within the framework of the first day of state of emergency in several districts of the country to reinforce citizen security, the premier went today to the province of Sullana, in Piura, and coordinated with the civil and police authorities the corresponding actions to safeguard the well-being of the citizens.

After making an unexpected visit to the sector’s police station, the head of the PCM, together with the Minister of the Interior, Vicente Romero, held a meeting with the regional governor, Luis Neyra, and the district mayors of Sullana.

“President Dina Boluarte asked us to talk with the mayors about the scope of this emergency declaration. We are going to work on the improvement of 10 police stations, finance public space projects for young people and carry out intense work to locate and capture the criminals who have spread terror in this area,” said Otárola.

Otárola Peñaranda highlighted the leadership of the mayors for the success of this initiative and announced that next Friday they will meet with the president Dina Boluarte.

In turn, he noted that the National Police has been entrusted with internal order, but the support of the Armed Forces has also been authorized at strategic points.

He emphasized that the measure is not intended to affect local businesses. “There is no curfew, what is being restricted are some activities because we want to protect the integrity of families who are victims of acts of vandalism every day,” he said.

REMOVAL AND CLEANING
At another time, the delegation supervised the cleaning and clearing tasks carried out in the Pajaritos ravine.

These efforts aim to reduce the risks and vulnerability due to the occurrence of the aforementioned climatological phenomenon, which would bring an increase in the flow of the Piura River.

In this regard, the premier pointed out that to date more than 524 million soles have been allocated in this region, at the three levels of government. This amount includes the provisions of two supreme decrees issued today, which authorize a transfer of more than S/141 million to the municipalities of Piura and Castilla.

“I call on the authorities to make efficient and timely use of resources. “We are deploying all our efforts in prevention work in the regions declared in emergency,” he concluded.
