Con el apoyo de miembros de la iglesia del programa “Voluntarios de Servicio” se logró armar 480 kits de cocina para ser entregados a los comedores populares y ollas comunes del país. En la ceremonia de entrega, realizada en Villa El Salvador, participó Karim Jiménez, directora de Diseño y Articulación de Prestaciones Sociales del MIDIS; y representando a la Iglesia de Jesucristo en la entrega, Areff Segovia Figueroa, director de Comunicación del Consejo Lima Sur.
En dicha entrega participaron también los alcaldes de cada provincia que tuvieron palabras de gratitud hacia la iglesia por el amor que tiene a sus semejantes en todo el país. En su intervención, Karim Jiménez destacó la constante participación que tiene la Iglesia de Jesucristo con el Ministerio de Desarrollo e Inclusión Social, del cual viene recibiendo muchas donaciones para ser distribuidas a las personas más necesitadas en el país. Areff Segovia Figueroa destacó la oportunidad que brinda el gobierno a la Iglesia para servir a la comunidad.
La Iglesia de Jesucristo, a través de su programa de Bienestar y Autosuficiencia, coordina con las autoridades la entrega de ayuda humanitaria para contribuir a atender las necesidades de las poblaciones vulnerables con espíritu de servicio de los miembros que siguen el ejemplo que el señor Jesucristo enseñó.
