En consecuencia, el ministro deberá presentar su renuncia y la presidenta de la República debe aceptar la dimisión dentro de las setenta y dos horas siguientes.

“Señores congresistas, las mociones de censura contra el ministro del interior Vicente Romero Fernández han sido aprobadas. En consecuencia, se comunicará el presente acuerdo a la presidenta la República para que se cumpla con lo dispuesto en el artículo 132 de la Constitución Política del Perú y el inciso b del artículo 86 del Reglamento del Congreso de la República” señaló el titular del Legislativo Alejandro Soto Reyes, luego de anunciar el resultado de la votación.

Previo al voto, se dio lectura al texto sustitutorio, que establece lo siguiente: “El Congreso de la República acuerda censurar al ministro del interior, Vicente Romero Fernández, por las consideraciones contenidas en las mociones 8911 y 8927, que demuestran su manifiesta incapacidad técnica de liderazgo y falta de idoneidad para el ejercicio del cargo de conformidad con el artículo 132 de la Constitución Política del Perú y el artículo 86 Reglamento del Congreso de la República”.

Durante el debate, el congresista Víctor Cutipa Ccama (NoA), se mostró a favor de la censura y expresó su preocupación por el sur del país donde la extorsión va en aumento.

Jorge Zeballos Aponte (RP), dijo a su turno que la lucha contra la inseguridad debe ser en conjunto pues aún falta legislación que proteja a la ciudadanía, “pienso que en siete meses quizá, estemos censurando al próximo ministro, porque veo con gran preocupación la situación que vivimos”.

A su turno, el parlamentario Guido Bellido Ugarte (PB), sostuvo que el país está sobreviviendo, pues no hay una dirección correcta en el Ministerio del Interior. “El Perú requiere un ministro que ponga fuerza y autoridad, algo que no hemos visto en estos meses, a este paso no vamos a tener una verdadera reactivación a causa de la inseguridad”, afirmó.

En este sentido, el congresista Flavio Cruz Mamani (PL) dijo a sus colegas parlamentarios que en calidad de voceros de la población, se debe dar una respuesta. “Se debe dar este castigo político pues es el principal responsable”.

During the debate, Congressman Víctor Cutipa Ccama (NoA), was in favor of censorship and expressed his concern for the south of the country where extortion is on the rise.
