La donación fue coordinada entre representantes de la Iglesia de Jesucristo y del Ministerio de Educación (Minedu), que a través de Programa Nacional de Infraestructura Educativa (Pronied), gestionó y canalizó todos los detalles necesarios para la entrega del mobiliario escolar para un total de 653 estudiantes de las 16 instituciones educativas seleccionadas.

Andy Baca Gonzales, líder local de la Iglesia de Jesucristo en Cusco efectuó la entrega formal de la donación al arquitecto Iván Terrazas Cabiedes, Jefe de la Unidad Zonal Cusco del Pronied, con la participación de autoridades educativas locales, funcionarios del Pronied y directores de los colegios beneficiados. La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días, responsable de las donaciones, muestra una larga tradición de ayuda en instituciones educativas de nuestro país.

En el Cusco, son 16 las instituciones educativas las beneficiadas con la entrega de 653 mesas y 558 sillas. Estas se destinaron a las instituciones educativas Señor de Exaltación (Quehue-Canas), IE 56325 Independencia (Colquemarca-Chumbivilcas), IE 56109 (Yanaoca-Canas); José de San Martín (Ocongate-Quispicanchis), entre otros centros educativos.

Representantes de las comunidades educativas agradecieron el compromiso de la Iglesia de Jesucristo, por su ayuda a los colegios con mayores necesidades en diferentes lugares de la región Cusco, para que los escolares desarrollen sus actividades con el mobiliario adecuado.
