Añadió que esta megaobra supone un monto total de inversión de más de 700 millones de dólares. El beneficio alcanza a cerca de 130 mil productores y más de 30 mil hectáreas de cultivo con la reanudación de los trabajos en la presa Palo Redondo

De otro lado, el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial señaló que las autoridades de la Comunidad Andina sostendrán en Lima una reunión el próximo 21 de enero, con el fin de abordar la problemática del crimen transnacional y adoptar medidas concretas y efectivas.

La cita congregará a cancilleres, así como a titulares de seguridad interna, quienes evaluarán la posibilidad de activar mecanismos regionales y/o subregionales para hacer frente a este flagelo.

Otárola subrayó que el Perú fue uno de los primeros países en pronunciarse y expresar su respaldo al mandatario del vecino país, Daniel Noboa, ante la crisis registrada en los últimos días. Asimismo, se tomaron acciones oportunas en territorio peruano, como el redoble de la vigilancia y el estado de emergencia en la frontera norte.

En la misma línea, sostuvo que el Gobierno de la presidenta Dina Boluarte tiene dos ejes prioritarios, que son la recuperación económica y la lucha frontal contra la delincuencia organizada.

En ese marco, dio cuenta de los recientes golpes a bandas organizadas efectuados por la Policía Nacional, como la intervención a un call center donde se realizaban llamadas extorsivas, en el cual se halló 1300 chips utilizados para este ilícito.

Por otra parte, se informó acerca de los avances del sinceramiento del Registro Integral de Formalización Minera (Reinfo).

Hasta el momento, en el marco de la medida, se han reportado 18 mil inscripciones vigentes y casi 69 mil suspendidas.

“Vamos a tomar algunas decisiones. Hoy se instala la comisión multisectorial que desde la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros dictará las políticas públicas para enfrentar este fenómeno de la minería ilegal”, manifestó.

En conferencia de prensa participaron también los titulares del Interior, Víctor Torres; de la Mujer y Poblaciones Vulnerables, Nancy Tolentino; y de Salud, César Vásquez.

El Ejecutivo dio a conocer que, a través de los Centros de Emergencia Mujer, se brinda apoyo a los deudos de las dos adolescentes asesinadas en Huacho. Además, se exigió sanción ejemplar para la responsable de la muerte de una menor de edad en situación de orfandad.

En tanto, el sector Salud indicó que ya se están en el país las nuevas vacunas monovalentes reforzadas contra la COVID-19 y que el proceso de inmunización con estas dosis se iniciará en los próximos días. Explicó que los descansos laborales debido a este mal solo se otorgarán a consideración de un especialista médico.
