También el 26 de abril el canciller González-Olaechea se reunirá con el secretario general de la Oficina Internacional de Exposiciones (BIE, por sus siglas en francés), Dimitri Kerkentzes, con la finalidad de impulsar la participación del Perú en la exposición internacional Expo Osaka 2025.

De la misma manera, el titular de Relaciones Exteriores llevará a cabo reuniones de trabajo con funcionarios de la Embajada del Perú en la República Francesa, del Consulado General del Perú en París y de la Representación Permanente del Perú ante la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (UNESCO), a fin de dar debido seguimiento a los principales temas de la agenda bilateral, consular y de promoción cultural del Perú con la República Francesa.

Asimismo, el canciller ha sido invitado por el secretario general de la OCDE y el primer ministro de Japón a participar en la Reunión del Consejo de la OCDE a Nivel Ministerial (MCM 2024, por sus siglas en inglés), a realizarse en París del 2 al 3 de mayo de 2024.

En la cita el titular de Cancillería sostendrá encuentros de alto nivel con las autoridades correspondientes de la OCDE, como muestra del compromiso político del Perú por impulsar y concluir satisfactoriamente su proceso de adhesión a la organización.

El ministro Javier González-Olaechea ha sido invitado por su homólogo chino, Wang Yi, para realizar una visita oficial del 29 al 30 de abril de 2024 que reforzará, al más alto nivel, la relación bilateral entre el Perú y la República Popular China, en los ámbitos político-diplomático, económico-comercial, cultural y de cooperación, con miras a profundizar y dinamizar la Asociación Estratégica Integral alcanzada en 2013 entre ambos países.

En el marco de su visita el canciller sostendrá una reunión de trabajo con par china y otras altas autoridades. En estos encuentros se abordarán diversos temas de la agenda bilateral, como los preparativos para las visitas de alto nivel previstas para 2024 y para la celebración de la XII Reunión del Mecanismo de Consultas Políticas Perú-China.

Es importante destacar que la visita oficial a la República Popular China resulta de gran relevancia, a efectos de impulsar una política exterior reforzada, que coadyuvará al posicionamiento de nuestro país en el escenario internacional y a la construcción de una agenda positiva con los países del Asia-Pacífico.
