La disposición, oficializada con la resolución ministerial nro. 132-2024-PCM, invita a todas las instituciones públicas y privadas, las organizaciones de la sociedad civil y la ciudadanía, a enviar sus opiniones, sus comentarios y sus sugerencias a la Secretaría de Gobierno y Transformación Digital de la PCM, a través del formulario https://facilita.gob.pe/t/7716. Las opiniones se recibirán hasta las 11:59 p. m. del 1 de junio de 2024.

La propuesta de reglamento detalla las obligaciones de las entidades públicas en la implementación de sistemas basados en inteligencia artificial, los cuales clasifica de acuerdo con su nivel de riesgo. Además, establece medidas para su adecuado uso y desarrollo, a fin de asegurar el respeto por los derechos humanos, la seguridad y la ética.

Con esta decisión se espera enriquecer el proceso de elaboración de esta normativa que contribuirá en el cierre de brechas y en el incremento de la competitividad del país.

PCM: Until June 1, 2024, citizens will be able to make contributions to the draft regulations of the Law that Promotes the Use of Artificial Intelligence.

Peruvian News Agency PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe/ Twitter: @prensaperupe The Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) put into public consultation the draft regulation of the Law that Promotes the Use of Artificial Intelligence in favor of Economic and Social Development of the Country (Law No. 31814).

The provision, made official with ministerial resolution no. 132-2024-PCM, invites all public and private institutions, civil society organizations and citizens, to send their opinions, comments and suggestions to the Secretariat of Government and Digital Transformation of the PCM, through the form https://facilita.gob.pe/t/7716. Opinions will be received until 11:59 p.m. m. from June 1, 2024.

The proposed regulation details the obligations of public entities in the implementation of systems based on artificial intelligence, which it classifies according to its level of risk. In addition, it establishes measures for its proper use and development, in order to ensure respect for human rights, safety and ethics.

With this decision, it is expected to enrich the process of developing these regulations that will contribute to closing gaps and increasing the country’s competitiveness.
