Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe/ Twitter: @prensaperupe La presidenta de la república, Dina Boluarte Zegarra, sostuvo hoy una reunión de trabajo con el gobernador regional de Arequipa, Rohel Sánchez Sánchez, a fin de coordinar acciones que permitan destrabar importantes proyectos de inversión para la región y el sur del país.

Entre los proyectos a impulsar figuran Majes Siguas, el Hospital III Goyeneche Arequipa, el puerto Corío, la planta de hidrógeno verde, el tramo 5 de la IIRSA sur: Matarani-Azángaro-Ilo, entre otros.

“Es importante sentarnos a conversar entre autoridades para alcanzar acuerdos concretos. En ese sentido, saludo esta reunión porque permitirá grandes avances en el destrabe de los proyectos que Arequipa y el sur necesitan.”, manifestó la mandataria desde Palacio de Gobierno.

Uno de los proyectos que tomó mayor relevancia en la reunión fue Majes Siguas I y II. Al respecto, la jefa de Estado aseveró que su gobierno buscará lograr este destrabe, tal como ocurrió con Chavimochic III y prontamente Chinecas.

“Tenemos que garantizar la seguridad alimentaria en el país y para ello tenemos que facilitar el acceso al agua, y no solamente para la agroexportación sino también para la agricultura familiar. No podemos dejar a Majes Siguas durmiendo otros 14 años; debemos tener, todas las autoridades, una mirada de país para sacar adelante el proyecto”, remarcó.

Asimismo, la presidenta puso énfasis a la modernización de la infraestructura del Hospital Goyeneche, a fin de mejorar el acceso a salud de arequipeños.

“Dentro del Plan Hospitales Bicentenario está la modernización del Goyoneche, el cual necesita con urgencia ser reconstruido desde cero, pues, ya no se puede parchar sobre parchado porque se vuelve a romper y no podemos malgastar los recursos”, apuntó.

En otro momento, la jefa de Estado abordó el impulso a la represa de Yanapuquio, la cual mejorará la irrigación de cerca 11,000 hectáreas y beneficiará a más de 3,000 habitantes de Moquegua y Arequipa.

Esta obra contribuirá a la viabilidad social de Tía María, proyecto minero de más de US$ 1400 millones. “Trabajamos para impulsar todos los proyectos de inversión, pero garantizando que estos proyectos lleven desarrollo a los pueblos. Tenemos que industrializar a las ciudades para aprovechar las matrerías primas que poseemos, como el cobre y el litio”, enfatizó.

“We have to guarantee food security in the country and to do so we have to facilitate access to water, and not only for agro-exports but also for family farming. We cannot leave Majes Siguas sleeping for another 14 years; We, all authorities, must have a country perspective to move the project forward,” he remarked.

Likewise, the president emphasized the modernization of the infrastructure of the Goyeneche Hospital, in order to improve access to health for Arequipa residents.

“Within the Bicentennial Hospital Plan is the modernization of Goyoneche, which urgently needs to be rebuilt from scratch, therefore, it can no longer be patched over patched because it breaks again and we cannot waste resources,” he noted.

At another time, the head of state addressed the promotion of the Yanapuquio dam, which will improve the irrigation of nearly 11,000 hectares and benefit more than 3,000 inhabitants of Moquegua and Arequipa.

This work will contribute to the social viability of Tía María, a mining project worth more than US$ 1.4 billion. “We work to promote all investment projects, but guaranteeing that these projects bring development to the towns. We have to industrialize cities to take advantage of the raw materials we have, such as copper and lithium,” he emphasized.
