“Para asegurar un crecimiento económico sostenido en el mediano y largo plazo, el gobierno peruano se compromete a impulsar nuevas inversiones tanto en minería como en otros sectores clave” indicó el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial en su segundo día de trabajo en el país centroamericano.
En el encuentro titulado “Perú: país de oportunidades para la inversión extranjera y el comercio”, el premier enfatizó que el Perú es un destino atractivo para las iniciativas privadas, debido a su política económica rigurosa, caracterizada por la disciplina macroeconómica, la solvencia fiscal y la apertura comercial.
Asimismo, destacó las perspectivas para el desarrollo de proyectos mineros. “Solo el 1.51% del territorio nacional ha sido desarrollado para minería, lo que ofrece un vasto potencial para futuras exploraciones y desarrollos”.
La actividad contó con la participación de representantes de los sectores de construcción, infraestructura y arquitectura, productos agrícolas y turismo de Costa Rica, quienes se mostraron interesados en expandir sus negocios en el país.
El Perú es el 38. ° socio comercial de Costa Rica a nivel mundial y ocupa el mismo lugar en exportaciones y el 34. ° en importaciones. En 2023, el comercio bilateral superó los 217 millones de dólares, lo que representó un aumento del 17% respecto al año anterior.
DESTACAN CANDIDATURA DE ALBERTO BOREA A CORTE IDH
Posteriormente, el titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM) dialogó con el director ejecutivo del Instituto Interamericano de Derechos Humanos (IIDH), José Thompson, y con el director de los programas de educación de dicha entidad, Jorge Padilla.
En la reunión el premier reconoció el aporte del IIDH en la formación de funcionarios y servidores públicos que se dedican a la defensa de los derechos humanos.
Por su parte, las autoridades del instituto resaltaron la candidatura de Alberto Borea al cargo de juez de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos, y manifestaron que representa el compromiso del Perú con el Sistema Interamericano de Protección de los Derechos Humanos.
