“El Perú tiene una posición histórica de firme respeto a la Convención Americana sobre Derechos Humanos”, enfatizó el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial en diálogo con la presidenta de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (Corte IDH), Nancy Hernández, y el secretario Pablo Saavedra.

La jueza Nancy Hernández consideró que el Perú es un país comprometido con el Estado de derecho y destacó la candidatura de Alberto Borea al cargo de juez de la Corte IDH, la cual ratifica la voluntad de fortalecer la institucionalidad de la corte. Subrayo además la transparencia e imparcialidad de la Corte, en donde el Perú ha obtenido, recientemente, la razón en la mayoría de casos.

DESTACAN RELACIÓN BILATERAL PERÚ-COSTA RICA
Previamente, el jefe de gabinete dialogó con el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto de Costa Rica, Arnoldo André, a quien manifestó el interés del Gobierno peruano de aprender del proceso de Costa Rica en su ingreso a la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económicos (OCDE).

En tanto, el ministro André remarcó el deseo de su país de ingresar a la Alianza del Pacífico, y expresó el apoyo su Costa Rica a la candidatura de Borea, por ser un candidato idóneo que representa la alternancia.

Ambas autoridades destacaron el dinamismo del comercio bilateral que supera los 200 millones de dólares, con perspectivas de incrementarse, y la vigencia del acuerdo de libre comercio que lleva más de una década desde su suscripción.

El titular de la PCM también sostuvo una reunión con la presidenta de la Liga Parlamentaria de Amistad Perú-Costa Rica, la diputada Ada Acuña, con quien coincidió en las buenas relaciones bilaterales que mantienen ambos países.

El premier Adrianzén resaltó las oportunidades que ofrece el Perú a las inversiones costarricenses, ante la próxima inauguración del megapuerto de Chancay, el cual será una puerta de acceso a los grandes mercados del Asia.

A su vez, Acuña informó sobre el apoyo de su país al Perú en su proceso de adhesión a la OCDE, y transmitió el interés por la experiencia peruana con las asociaciones público-privadas.
