Señor Daniel Noboa Azín, presidente de la República del Ecuador, además de nombrarlo Huésped Ilustre con la entrega de un diploma de manos del burgomaestre.

El mandatario ecuatoriano se encuentra en el Perú por el XV Gabinete Binacional donde se abordan temas de importancia para ambos países como desarrollo e integración fronteriza, medio ambiente, seguridad, comercio exterior, turismo, y cooperación social y cultural.

“Realmente es un placer enorme este momento histórico, por las excelentes relaciones de fraternidad entre Ecuador y Perú, lo venía pensando desde la mañana, somos una nación, somos la misma nación, somos dos estados, pero la nación es idéntica, yo lo percibo desde joven”, señaló el alcalde Rafael López Aliaga.

Asimismo, el presidente Noboa Azín expresó su agradecimiento, “tengan la certeza que guardaré la Llave de la Ciudad de Lima con mucho honor, respeto y responsabilidad”. “Es indudable la hermandad que nuestras naciones tienen, la cual nos alienta a continuar fortaleciendo estos lazos y nos comprometen a seguir construyendo un mejor futuro”, agregó.

De otro lado, el alcalde se refirió a las amenazas que enfrenta el Perú contra la vida, la familia, la libertad, que venimos erradicando al igual que la corrupción, el sicariato, las bandas organizadas, con el objetivo que la gente más vulnerable sea feliz, tenga acceso a todo lo indispensable y lograr una vida digna.

Adelantó que la iniciativa de un tren de Lima a Tumbes, tras conversar con el presidente del Ecuador, llegue a Machala para incentivar el turismo, de esta manera ambos países se conviertan en potencia mundial.

Finalmente, el alcalde le obsequió al presidente Noboa un pisco peruano, quien respondió el gesto con un sombrero de su país.
