“En el Perú hay 112 alcaldesas que gestionan más de 3000 millones de soles de presupuesto, en beneficio de más de 2.6 millones de habitantes en sus territorios. Somos conscientes de que con su liderazgo y vocación construiremos comunidades fuertes, inclusivas y sostenibles”, indicó el viceministro de Gobernanza Territorial de la PCM, Juan Haro, durante la inauguración del evento.

El viceministro garantizó el compromiso y la disposición de la PCM para trabajar articuladamente con los tres niveles de Gobierno y, especialmente, para promover el liderazgo de las alcaldesas en sus gestiones municipales.

La actividad fue impulsada a través de la Secretaría de Descentralización de la PCM, e incluyó capacitaciones en “Gestión de Inversión Pública” y “Presupuesto público”, a cargo del Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas, y “Contrataciones del Estado”, por parte del Organismo Supervisor de las Contrataciones del Estado (OSCE).

En la jornada, las ministras de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Elizabeth Galdo; Mujer y Poblaciones Vulnerables, Ángela Hernández; y Cultura, Leslie Urteaga, expusieron sobre el rol de la mujer en la gestión pública nacional.

En tanto, las gobernadoras regionales de Lima Provincias, Rosa Vásquez, y Moquegua, Gilia Gutiérrez, así como las alcaldesas distritales de San Isidro, Nancy Vizurraga, y Vilcabamba, Modesta Yauri, dialogaron sobre los retos y desafíos en la gestión regional y local.

Asimismo, las autoridades provinciales y locales recibieron orientación y asistencia técnica por parte de especialistas de los sectores Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento; Transportes y Comunicaciones; Trabajo y Promoción del Empleo; Desarrollo Agrario y Riego; Superintendencia Nacional de Aduanas y de Administración Tributaria (SUNAT), y PCM.

En el 2023 las municipalidades gestionadas por alcaldesas lograron un grado de ejecución del 75.2 % (S/ 2.4 mil millones), 1.5 % más que el promedio nacional de ese mismo año.

The activity was promoted through the Decentralization Secretariat of the PCM, and included training in “Public Investment Management” and “Public Budget”, by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and “State Contracting”, by the State Procurement Supervisory Body (OSCE).

On the day, the ministers of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Elizabeth Galdo; Women and Vulnerable Populations, Ángela Hernández; and Culture, Leslie Urteaga, spoke about the role of women in national public management.

Meanwhile, the regional governors of Lima Provinces, Rosa Vásquez, and Moquegua, Gilia Gutiérrez, as well as the district mayors of San Isidro, Nancy Vizurraga, and Vilcabamba, Modesta Yauri, discussed the challenges in regional and local management.

Likewise, provincial and local authorities received guidance and technical assistance from specialists in the Housing, Construction and Sanitation sectors; Transport and Communications; Labor and Employment Promotion; Agrarian Development and Irrigation; National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration (SUNAT), and PCM.
