Según la normativa, que entró en vigencia esta semana, este grupo de trabajo será el encargado de coordinar y efectuar acciones con otros sectores para mitigar efectos adversos que puedan afectar a turistas, además de desarrollar estrategias de comunicación ante la emisión de alertas internacionales que afecten el posicionamiento del país como un destino seguro.

La resolución, que lleva la firma de la ministra Elizabeth Galdo, también señala que el mencionado comité elaborará planes de acción y protocolos de respuesta inmediata ante posibles contingencias y propondrá medidas que involucren a los tres niveles de gobierno para mejorar estos mecanismos ante situaciones de crisis.

De igual manera, el comité de contingencia para las situaciones de crisis que afecten el turismo deberá conformarse en un plazo de cinco días hábiles y tendrá una vigencia de cinco años a partir de su instalación.

INTEGRANTES DEL NUEVO COMITÉ
De acuerdo con la resolución ministerial, este nuevo grupo de trabajo será presidido por la titular del Mincetur y estará compuesto por la viceministra de Turismo y los jefes del Gabinete de Asesores, la Dirección General de Políticas de Desarrollo Turístico, la Dirección General de Estrategia Turística, la Dirección de Facilitación y Cultura Turística, así como de la Oficina de Comunicaciones y Protocolo y la Oficina de Defensa Nacional.

De igual manera, conformarán el comité el presidente ejecutivo de la Comisión de Promoción del Perú para la Exportación y el Turismo (Promperú) y el director ejecutivo del Plan COPESCO Nacional.
