El canciller estuvo acompañado por el embajador del Perú en los Estados Unidos, Alfredo Ferrero, y una delegación de alto nivel.
Durante su encuentro en la sede del Congreso estadounidense, ambas autoridades dialogaron sobre el excelente estado de la relación bilateral, así como la importancia geopolítica del Perú como socio estratégico en el hemisferio occidental.
El canciller Schialer reafirmó el compromiso de nuestro país de continuar impulsando la positiva relación con los Estados Unidos, centrada en el beneficio mutuo, temas de seguridad, asuntos regionales, migración, inversiones y comercio.
El congresista Mast se declaró un amigo del Perú y un entusiasta de la cocina y cultura peruana, a la vez que se comprometió a seguir trabajando por el fortalecimiento de la agenda peruana-estadounidense.
