En dicho encuentro, la jefa de Estado encomendó al Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones (MTC) la tarea de evaluar el estado de todos los puentes a nivel nacional para conocer su condición y así evitar tragedias como la ocurrida en Chancay.

“El mantenimiento no es solo colocar una capa asfáltica para que se vea bien, no. Es fundamental evaluar las bases de los puentes, ya que el paso del tiempo y la crecida de los ríos los van deteriorando. En el próximo Consejo de Ministros revisaremos el estado real de los puentes”, manifestó desde el Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia Nacional (COEN).

En ese contexto, afirmó que gestionarán financiamiento para ejecutar la instalación de unos 3000 puentes de pequeñas dimensiones que falta colocar a nivel nacional, los cuales deberían culminarse antes de que termine el actual gobierno, dado que se trata de infraestructuras chicas cuya construcción puede completarse en un plazo de ocho meses, o diez como máximo.

“Vamos a poner todo nuestro empeño para brindar conectividad a estos pueblos aislados. Ojalá, antes del término de nuestra gestión, el 28 de julio de 2026, estén completamente conectados, lo que les permitirá sacar sus productos al mercado y mejorar sus economías”, indicó.

Seguidamente, la mandataria coordinó virtualmente con los gobernadores regionales de Apurímac, Cusco, Huancavelica, Amazonas, Huánuco, Moquegua, Piura, San Martín, Ucayali y Lima provincias, con el objetivo de conocer la situación de sus jurisdicciones y coordinar las acciones inmediatas a implementar para mitigar los impactos de las precipitaciones.

También intervinieron de manera virtual la vicegobernadora de Ayacucho, Cajamarca y Pasco. Además, participaron los alcaldes provinciales de Carabaya (Arequipa) y Nasca (Ica), así como los alcaldes distritales de Río Tambo (Junín), Toraya (Apurímac), Vilcabamba (Pasco) y Pilcuyo (Puno).

TRABAJO ARTICULADO
“Durante este periodo de lluvias, continuaremos reafirmando el trabajo articulado entre el Gobierno Nacional, los gobiernos regionales y las municipalidades. En ese sentido, estamos disponiendo que las ministras, ministros, viceministros y los funcionarios a nivel nacional se distribuyan para seguir monitoreando más de cerca las necesidades y urgencias derivadas de estas intensas precipitaciones”, remarcó.

Posteriormente, anunció la decisión de que toda la maquinaria de los ministerios de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento; Desarrollo Agrario y Riego; Transportes y Comunicaciones; y Defensa, estén al 100% operativas para atender las emergencias en todo el país.

“Además, hemos dispuesto que el MTC reasigne el combustible necesario a fin de que la maquinaria de los gobiernos regionales y locales también estén disponible para la población”, agregó.

ACCIONES ANTE LAS HELADAS Y FRIAJE
Asimismo, informó que, como parte de estas medidas de intervención ante las heladas y friaje, se ha garantizado el abastecimiento y la distribución de pacas de forraje para la alimentación de los camélidos, ganado vacuno y ganado ovino, con el objetivo de proteger la economía y el sustento de las familias que dependen de esta actividad en la zona sur andina.

“Como parte de las medidas, hemos dispuesto que aquellas familias cuyas viviendas hayan sido completamente afectadas sean atendidas con carpas disponibles. También se realizará el empadronamiento y se dará un apoyo económico”, apuntó.

Recordó que a través del Ministerio de Desarrollo Agrario y Riego se está activando el Seguro Agrícola Catastrófico (SAC), que entrega 800 soles de apoyo a los damnificados del agro por cada hectárea dañada.

Finalmente agradeció al Ejército peruano y la Policía Nacional que, ante las emergencias, están siempre de la mano con el pueblo. “A ellos mi abrazo, gratitud y todo el apoyo del gobierno nacional”, dijo.

“We are going to put all our efforts to provide connectivity to these isolated towns. Hopefully, before the end of our administration, on July 28, 2026, they will be completely connected, which will allow them to put their products on the market and improve their economies,” he indicated.

Next, the president coordinated virtually with the regional governors of Apurímac, Cusco, Huancavelica, Amazonas, Huánuco, Moquegua, Piura, San Martín, Ucayali and Lima provinces, with the aim of knowing the situation in their jurisdictions and coordinating the immediate actions to be implemented to mitigate the impacts of the rainfall.

The vice governor of Ayacucho, Cajamarca and Pasco also participated virtually. In addition, the provincial mayors of Carabaya (Arequipa) and Nasca (Ica) participated, as well as the district mayors of Río Tambo (Junín), Toraya (Apurímac), Vilcabamba (Pasco) and Pilcuyo (Puno).

ARTICULATED WORK
“During this period of rain, we will continue to reaffirm the articulated work between the National Government, the regional governments and the municipalities. In that sense, we are arranging that the ministers, vice ministers and officials at the national level be distributed to continue monitoring more closely the needs and emergencies derived from these intense rainfall,” he remarked.

Subsequently, he announced the decision that all the machinery of the ministries of Housing, Construction and Sanitation; Agrarian Development and Irrigation; Transport and Communications; and Defense, are 100% operational to respond to emergencies throughout the country.

“In addition, we have arranged for the MTC to reallocate the necessary fuel so that the machinery of regional and local governments are also available to the population,” he added.

ACTIONS AGAINST FROST AND COLD
Likewise, he reported that, as part of these intervention measures against frost and cold, the supply and distribution of bales of forage for feeding camelids, cattle and sheep has been guaranteed, with the aim of protecting the economy and the livelihood of families that depend on this activity in the southern Andean zone.

“As part of the measures, we have arranged for those families whose homes have been completely affected to be assisted with available tents. Registration will also be carried out and financial support will be given,” he noted.

He recalled that through the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, Catastrophic Agricultural Insurance (SAC) is being activated, which provides 800 soles of support to agricultural victims for each damaged hectare.

Finally, he thanked the Peruvian Army and the National Police who, in the event of emergencies, are always hand in hand with the people. “To them my hug, gratitude and all the support of the national government,” he said.
