“Consideramos que lo mejor es no fijar una fecha determinada para el inicio de operaciones. Vamos a esperar a que LAP, en el menor plazo posible, levante las observaciones señaladas por el #MTC, Ositrán Perú y OSINERGMIN. La seguridad no se negocia. Una vez subsanadas, se evaluará la inauguración”, afirmó el titular del sector.

A la fecha, aún no se han cumplido satisfactoriamente pruebas clave para garantizar una operación segura. Entre los sistemas pendientes se encuentran el Sistema de Detección y Alarma Contra Incendios (DACI), el Sistema de Control de Accesos, el Sistema de Visualización de Información de Vuelo (FIDS), el Sistema de Iluminación y la Red Local de Área (LAN).

Además, el director general de Aeronáutica Civil, Donald Castillo, precisó que las pruebas realizadas hasta ahora evidencian que no se ha logrado un nivel adecuado de familiarización, entrenamiento y procedimientos operativos por parte de todos los actores involucrados. En ese sentido, se requiere una mayor cantidad de pruebas para garantizar una operación 100 % segura.

El ministro Pérez Reyes subrayó que la prioridad del Gobierno es asegurar que el inicio de operaciones del nuevo terminal se realice en condiciones óptimas y confiables, ya que cualquier falla en la operación aeroportuaria podría tener consecuencias graves.

“No vamos a inaugurar irresponsablemente el nuevo aeropuerto poniendo en riesgo a las personas. Seguiremos trabajando para garantizar una operación segura, ordenada y eficiente”, enfatizó.

En la conferencia participaron el viceministro de Transportes, Ismael Sutta; la presidenta del Consejo Directivo de Ositran, Verónica Zambrano; y el gerente de Supervisión de Hidrocarburos Líquidos de Osinergmin, Pedro Isusi.
