Durante la ceremonia de inauguración, el canciller resaltó que esta nueva sede representa un espacio diseñado para acompañar a los peruanos en el exterior no solo en trámites, sino también en momentos de orientación y apoyo.
La nueva oficina, de 157 metros cuadrados, está estratégicamente situada a tres cuadras del metro y cuenta con un ascensor directo, lo que facilitará el acceso a todos los usuarios. Además, el local está preparado para albergar actividades culturales y económicas, ampliando así su papel como punto de encuentro y de promoción del Perú en el Reino Unido.
El canciller agradeció al personal del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y a todas las personas que hicieron posible este proyecto, señalando que esta sede responde a los más altos estándares de calidad en la atención al ciudadano peruano.
“Que este nuevo local del consulado sea un símbolo del compromiso de nuestra nación con sus ciudadanos”, concluyó Schialer.
