El referido documento fue suscrito en la sede de la Cancillería por el presidente del Consejo de Ministros y ministro de Relaciones Exteriores encargado, Gustavo Adrianzén, y la directora general de la OIM, Amy Pope.
Esta alianza estratégica permitirá implementar proyectos concretos que impactarán directamente en la vida de la ciudadanía facilitando la integración socioeconómica de los migrantes y mejorando la atención a los peruanos en el exterior, quienes representan una fuerza vital para el país. También permitirá abordar eventuales crisis en frontera ante posibles oleadas migratorias, y se impulsarán políticas públicas relacionadas con las remesas, sustento para muchas familias.
Durante el encuentro, en el palacio de Torre Tagle, el premier Adrianzén subrayó la importancia de construir una movilidad humana sostenible y resiliente, especialmente frente a desafíos como el cambio climático y las pandemias. “Confiamos en que encontraremos soluciones creativas que nos permitan proteger a nuestros compatriotas en el exterior, a los que retornan y a quienes llegan buscando oportunidades”, afirmó.
El documento suscrito se enmarca en la Política Nacional Migratoria del Perú, reconocida por las Naciones Unidas como una “buena práctica” por su enfoque integral y humano, que abarca a peruanos en el exterior, personas con intención de emigrar, peruanos retornantes y ciudadanos extranjeros en el país.
Además, se destacó la labor de la Mesa de Trabajo Intersectorial para la Gestión Migratoria, liderada por la Cancillería y sus oficinas regionales, que articula acciones entre diversos sectores del Estado para dar respuestas eficaces y coordinadas.
“Las soluciones deben partir de la fraternidad que ha unido siempre a la humanidad”, finalizó Adrianzén, reafirmando el compromiso del Perú con una migración ordenada, solidaria y respetuosa de los derechos humanos.

The signed document is part of Peru’s National Migration Policy, recognized by the United Nations as a “good practice” for its comprehensive and humane approach, which encompasses Peruvians abroad, people intending to emigrate, returning Peruvians, and foreign citizens in the country.
In addition, the work of the Intersectoral Working Group for Migration Management, led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its regional offices, was highlighted. This work coordinates actions across various government sectors to provide effective and coordinated responses.
“Solutions must be based on the brotherhood that has always united humanity,” Adrianzén concluded, reaffirming Peru’s commitment to orderly, supportive, and human rights-respecting migration.
