La ceremonia, realizada en la sede central del MINJUSDH, contó con la presencia de la presidenta de la República, Dina Boluarte, y el ministro de Justicia y Derechos Humanos, Eduardo Arana.

Durante el evento, la mandataria destacó la importancia de que los niños conozcan sus derechos desde temprana edad. “Quiero felicitar la iniciativa del ministro de Justicia y los que han hecho posible esta Constitución para niños, porque un país donde los niños conocen su Constitución es un país que avanza con firmeza hacia un futuro mejor. Este libro no solo les enseña sus derechos, sino que también los inspira a amar y respetar al Perú”, afirmó la presidenta.

Por su parte, el ministro Eduardo Arana resaltó el esfuerzo del MINJUSDH en promover la educación cívica en la niñez. “”El Estado busca tener un compromiso real con la democracia y la fraternidad. Desde niños tenemos que conocer nuestros deberes y derechos. Hoy está norma fundamental qué rige el destino del país va a permitir que nuestros niños conozcan sus derechos a través de imágenes y textos. Estamos sembrando las bases para una ciudadanía más informada y comprometida”, señaló.

Agregó que, con esta iniciativa, el Gobierno reafirma su compromiso con la formación de ciudadanos informados desde la infancia, promoviendo el conocimiento de la Constitución como pilar fundamental para la convivencia democrática.

La publicación, que cuenta con 88 páginas, contiene algunos artículos que explican de manera didáctica nuestras normas constitucionales: derechos fundamentales, deberes constitucionales y deberes del Estado. Asimismo, incluye ilustraciones atractivas de personajes que forjaron nuestra historia como Miguel Grau, María Parado de Bellido y José Faustino Sánchez Carrión, con el objetivo de fortalecer la identidad nacional y fomentar el amor a la patria.

Además, refuerza el trabajo del programa MINJUSDH en tu escuela, que en 2024 capacitó a más de 15,780 escolares en Lima, Cusco y Arequipa en derechos humanos, ética y valores.

En el marco del evento, se entregaron ejemplares simbólicos a estudiantes y se reconoció a los hermanos Benjamín y Silvia Velásquez como Embajadores de la Constitución, tras interpretar una canción alusiva al tema.

During the event, the president emphasized the importance of children knowing their rights from an early age. “I want to congratulate the Minister of Justice and those who made this Constitution for children possible, because a country where children know its Constitution is a country that moves firmly toward a better future. This book not only teaches them about their rights, but also inspires them to love and respect Peru,” the president stated.

For his part, Minister Eduardo Arana highlighted the efforts of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (MINJUSDH) to promote civic education in children. “The State seeks to have a real commitment to democracy and fraternity. From childhood, we must know our duties and rights. He added that, with this initiative, the Government reaffirms its commitment to raising informed citizens from childhood, promoting knowledge of the Constitution as a fundamental pillar for democratic coexistence.

The 88-page publication contains several articles that provide an educational explanation of our constitutional norms: fundamental rights, constitutional duties, and duties of the State. It also includes engaging illustrations of figures who shaped our history, such as Miguel Grau, María Parado de Bellido, and José Faustino Sánchez Carrión, with the aim of strengthening national identity and fostering love for the homeland.

Furthermore, it reinforces the work of the MINJUSDH in your school program, which in 2024 trained more than 15,780 schoolchildren in Lima, Cusco, and Arequipa in human rights, ethics, and values.
