“El equipamiento va desde autos, cascos, escudos, entre otros objetos. Proveeremos de los recursos necesarios para que la PNP se refuerce de manera significativa”, indicó el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial, quien precisó que la medida fue adoptada en el Consejo de Seguridad y Defensa Nacional (Cosedena).
El titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM) explicó que esta decisión se suma a otras, como el despliegue de un mayor número de efectivos en zonas priorizadas de las calles de Lima y Callao, a fin de ejercer un mayor control territorial.
ACEPTAN RENUNCIA DEL JEFE DEL INPE
Con el objetivo de implementar cambios, de manera rápida, que contribuyan a incrementar la seguridad en los establecimientos penitenciarios, el premier Adrianzén reveló que se aceptó la renuncia del jefe del Instituto Nacional Penitenciario del Perú (INPE), Javier Llaque.
“Entendemos que hay responsabilidad funcional en la fuga de un interno del penal de Lurigancho y la destitución del director de ese establecimiento penitenciario y la aceptación de la renuncia del jefe del INPE son las medidas más inmediatas para solucionar este problema. Además, hay tres miembros del INPE que están siendo investigados. Las denuncias ya han sido interpuestas ante la Fiscalía”, comentó el jefe de gabinete.
Canciller liderará delegación peruana en exequias del papa Francisco
El presidente del Consejo de Ministros, Gustavo Adrianzén, y el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Elmer Schialer, coincidieron en la importancia de que la presidenta de la república, Dina Boluarte, participe en las exequias del papa Francisco, en su condición de jefa de Estado y representante del pueblo peruano.
No obstante, el titular de la PCM expresó su respeto a la decisión del Congreso de la República de no autorizar el viaje de la mandataria, y precisó que la delegación peruana que asistirá al funeral del sumo pontífice será encabezada por el canciller Schialer.
APRUEBAN PROYECTO DE LEY PARA REEMPLAZAR LA DIGEMID
El Consejo de Ministros aprobó el proyecto de ley que crea la Autoridad Nacional de Productos Farmacéuticos, Dispositivos Médicos y Productos Sanitarios (APEMED), organismo público técnico especializado que tiene por finalidad garantizar la seguridad, la eficacia y la calidad de esos productos y dispositivos.
“Esta autoridad, que reemplazará a la Dirección General de Medicamentos, Insumos y Drogas, es concebida como una entidad técnica y autónoma, exenta de cualquier tipo de presión política. Su titular será seleccionado por concurso público nacional y ejercerá por un periodo de cuatro años”, precisó el premier Adrianzén.
La iniciativa, que será enviada al Congreso para su debate y eventual aprobación, contribuirá a mejorar la salud pública al garantizar a la población un acceso oportuno y equitativo a servicios sanitarios de calidad.
INICIA TEMPORADA DE PESCA
El ministro de la Producción, Sergio González, informó que el sector que lidera inició ayer la primera temporada de pesca de anchoveta en la zona centro y norte del país, con una cuota de 3 millones de toneladas, la segunda cuota más alta de los últimos 13 años y la más alta de los últimos siete.
“Esta cuota va a tener un impacto importante en la economía peruana. En términos de exportaciones representa un aporte de 1700 millones de dólares. Socialmente tendrá un impacto significativo de 50 mil puestos de trabajo, directos e indirectos. Asimismo, dinamizará las economías de Lima, Áncash, Piura, La Libertad, y Lambayeque”, manifestó González.
En tanto, como parte del fortalecimiento de la actividad acuícola, el titular de Producción informó que el Gobierno nacional destinará 50 millones de soles en créditos para los maricultores, actividad que se desarrolla principalmente en Sechura, en la región Piura.
“Nuestros principales mercados en conchas de abanico son Francia, Estados Unidos y Bélgica, y representan 123 millones de dólares en divisas. Con estos créditos los dotamos de lo esencial para esta actividad que dinamiza la economía de miles de personas”, puntualizó.
AMPLIARÁN SUBSIDIO ECONÓMICO PARA OLLAS COMUNES
La ministra de Desarrollo e Inclusión Social, Leslie Urteaga, informó que se ha dispuesto la ampliación del subsidio económico por más de 65 millones soles para los comedores y las ollas comunes de todo el país.
Esta medida beneficiará a 19 mil organizaciones sociales de base identificadas a través del Programa de Complementación Alimentaria del Ministerio de Desarrollo e Inclusión Social (Midis). “A esta decisión se suma el trabajo que realizamos con la Sociedad Nacional de Pesquería para entregar a las ollas y comedores más de 100 toneladas de pescado fresco”, agregó.
ESTADO DE EMERGENCIA POR LLUVIAS INTENSAS
El Ejecutivo también prorrogó por 60 días calendario, a partir del 29 de abril del 2025, el estado de emergencia en 11 distritos de algunas provincias de los departamentos de Amazonas, Áncash, Cusco, Piura, Tumbes y Ucayali, por impacto de daños a consecuencia de intensas precipitaciones pluviales. La finalidad es continuar con la ejecución de medidas y acciones de excepción, inmediatas y necesarias, respuesta y rehabilitación que correspondan.
Para ello, los gobiernos regionales de Amazonas, Áncash, Cusco, Piura, Tumbes y Ucayali, y los gobiernos locales comprendidos, con la coordinación técnica y seguimiento del Instituto Nacional de Defensa Civil (Indeci) y la participación de los ministerios de Desarrollo Agrario y Riego, Interior y Defensa, y demás instituciones públicas y privadas involucradas, continuarán con la ejecución de medidas de respuesta y rehabilitación.
Adicionalmente, el titular de la PCM anunció que se ha aprobado declarar estado de emergencia en el distrito de Kosñipata, en la provincia de Paucartambo, región Cusco; y en los distritos de Manu y Fitzcarrald, en la provincia de Manu, región de Madre de Dios, como consecuencia de los últimos sucesos provocados por las lluvias intensas.

INPE HEAD’S RESIGNATION ACCEPTED

“We understand that there is functional responsibility in the escape of an inmate from the Lurigancho prison, and the dismissal of the director of that penitentiary facility and the acceptance of the resignation of the head of INPE are the most immediate measures to resolve this problem. Furthermore, three INPE members are under investigation. The complaints have already been filed with the Prosecutor’s Office,” the chief of staff commented.
Foreign Minister to Lead Peruvian Delegation at Pope Francis’ Funeral

BILL APPROVED TO REPLACE DIGEMID
The Council of Ministers approved the bill creating the National Authority for Pharmaceutical Products, Medical Devices, and Health Products (APEMED), a specialized technical public body whose purpose is to guarantee the safety, efficacy, and quality of these products and devices.
“This authority, which will replace the General Directorate of Medicines, Supplies, and Drugs, is conceived as a technical and autonomous entity, exempt from any type of political pressure. Its head will be selected through a national public competition and will serve for a four-year term,” Prime Minister Adrianzén stated.
The initiative, which will be sent to Congress for debate and eventual approval, will contribute to improving public health by guaranteeing the population timely and equitable access to quality health services.
FISHING SEASON BEGINS
The Minister of Production, Sergio González, reported that the sector he leads began its first anchovy fishing season yesterday in the central and northern regions of the country, with a quota of 3 million tons, the second-highest quota in the last 13 years and the highest in the last seven.
“This quota will have a significant impact on the Peruvian economy. In terms of exports, it represents a contribution of $1.7 billion. Socially, it will have a significant impact, creating 50,000 direct and indirect jobs. It will also boost the economies of Lima, Ancash, Piura, La Libertad, and Lambayeque,” González stated.

FINANCIAL SUBSIDY FOR COMMUNAL SOUP KITCHEN WILL BE EXPANDED
The Minister of Development and Social Inclusion, Leslie Urteaga, announced that the financial subsidy has been extended by more than 65 million soles for soup kitchens and communal soup kitchens across the country.
This measure will benefit 19,000 grassroots social organizations identified through the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion’s (MIDIS) Food Supplement Program. “This decision is in addition to the work we are doing with the National Fisheries Society to deliver more than 100 tons of fresh fish to soup kitchens and communal soup kitchens,” she added.
STATE OF EMERGENCY DUE TO INTENSE RAINS
The Executive Branch also extended the state of emergency in 11 districts of some provinces in the departments of Amazonas, Ancash, Cusco, Piura, Tumbes, and Ucayali for 60 calendar days, starting April 29, 2025, due to the impact of damage resulting from intense rainfall. The purpose is to continue implementing immediate and necessary emergency measures and actions, as well as the corresponding response and rehabilitation measures.
To this end, the regional governments of Amazonas, Ancash, Cusco, Piura, Tumbes, and Ucayali, and the local governments involved, with the technical coordination and monitoring of the National Civil Defense Institute (Indeci) and the participation of the Ministries of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, Interior and Defense, and other public and private institutions involved, will continue implementing response and rehabilitation measures.
Additionally, the head of the PCM announced that a state of emergency has been declared in the Kosñipata district, in the Paucartambo province, Cusco region; and in the Manu and Fitzcarrald districts, in the Manu province, Madre de Dios region, as a result of recent events caused by heavy rains.
