Desde el viernes 25, sábado 26 y domingo 27 de abril se llevará a cabo la segunda edición del Festival del libro y la lectura “Estación de Lectores” con la temática Literatura Infantil y Juvenil; y, el sábado 26 de abril se realizará la primera fecha del programa “Viajeros Literarios. Casa de la Literatura en tu escuela” en la IE 1257 Reino Unido de Gran Bretaña en Huaycán (Ate-Vitarte).
Durante tres días, la 2da.edición del Festival del libro y la lectura “Estación de Lectores: Literatura Infantil y Juvenil” ofrecerá a los niños y jóvenes una programación muy variada y entretenida que incluye presentaciones de libros infantiles y juveniles, narración oral, teatro, mediación de lectura en la ladera artística y kamishibai (teatro de papel). En la sección de exposición y venta de libros participan las siguientes editoriales: De Lirio Ediciones, Mi mundo mis libros, Ediciones Catarsis, Colmena Editores, Editorial Quimérica, Eris Editorial, Editorial Ámbar, Centro de Difusión Científica y Cultural UCV, La Cucuteca, Fondo de Cultura Económica, Grupo Jurado, Pakarina Ediciones y ARS LIBRI, con una amplia selección de sus obras y descuentos en el frontis de la institución.
Paralelamente, el sábado 26 de abril, se inicia Viajeros Literarios “Casa de la Literatura en tu escuela”, que es un programa de descentralización de actividades literarias y educativas en colegios ubicados en la periferia de la gran Lima. Una iniciativa que llevará diversas presentaciones culturales, literarias y educativas a escolares de primaria y secundaria, con participación de padres de familia y docentes, durante dos sábados de cada mes. La primera experiencia del programa se desarrollará en la IE 1257 Reino Unido de Gran Bretaña en Huaycán (Ate-Vitarte) desde las 9:00 a.m. hasta la 1:00 p.m.
En el año 2022, sólo el 6% de la población accedió a bibliotecas, de las cuales, el 3.1% fue en zonas rurales. Y en el ámbito rural, solo el 18.9% de colegios de educación básica regular cuentan con un ambiente destinado a biblioteca escolar, cifras según la Encuesta Nacional de Lectura. Por ello, la Casa de la Literatura diseñó este programa basándose en la experiencia cultural que ofrece la institución, donde destacan las actividades de las salas de lectura, narración con los abuelos cuenta cuentos, obras teatrales con títeres o con diversos soportes de lectura, lectura visual, actividades creativas con los niños, recorridos mediados, entre otras experiencias.
“Casa de la Literatura en tu escuela” es un proyecto que busca fomentar la promoción a la lectura y el acercamiento a las escuelas de diversos distritos de Lima metropolitana en coordinación con los directores y docentes de las IIEE articulada con sus actividades de plan lector. Esta estrategia que propone Casa de la Literatura es para fomentar el hábito a la lectura entre los escolares”. señala Gary Marroquín Mendoza, director de la Casa de la Literatura.
“De este modo se plantea una coordinación con los directores de la DRELM y UGEL y a su vez con los directores de diferentes colegios de Lima Metropolitana para que Casa de la Literatura pueda desarrollar experiencias de mediación de lectura, lectura multimodal, desarrollar espectáculos de narración y/o teatro, y charlas de sensibilización del fomento a la lectura a la comunidad educativa” finaliza el director.
La participación activa de niños y jóvenes en diversas actividades culturales permitirá crear experiencias de lectura significativas y disfrutar de diversas vivencias relacionadas con la literatura.

“This way, we are coordinating with the directors of the DRELM and UGEL (National Institute of Educational Research and Development), and in turn with the directors of various schools in Metropolitan Lima, so that the House of Literature can develop reading mediation experiences, multimodal reading, storytelling and/or theater performances, and give awareness-raising talks on reading promotion to the educational community,” the director concludes.
