La reunión se llevó a cabo tras la participación de la jefa de Estado en la ceremonia de posesión de mando de Daniel Noboa como mandatario ecuatoriano, con el fin de seguir fortaleciendo la integración y cooperación.
La presidenta Boluarte reafirmó los históricos lazos de hermandad y buena vecindad con Ecuador, así como los deseos de desarrollar acciones conjuntas que permitan avanzar hacia el progreso de ambas naciones.
Asimismo, llevó a Noboa el saludo del pueblo peruano por su elección y le expresó la importancia de enfrentar en conjunto los desafíos para el progreso de ambos países, en especial de las zonas de frontera.
En la cita, la jefa de Estado subrayó la importancia de sumar esfuerzos en aspectos claves como la lucha contra las organizaciones criminales internacionales y la minería ilegal con presencia en la frontera común.
Además, se resaltó el compromiso con el Gabinete Binacional Perú-Ecuador, mecanismo de diálogo y coordinación político-diplomática del más alto nivel entre ambos países establecido en 2007.
En presencia de ambos mandatarios, los cancilleres de Perú, Elmer Schialer, y de Ecuador, Gabriela Sommerfeld, firmaron la “Hoja de ruta binacional para la recuperación de ambientes degradados, protección y conservación de la cuenca transfronteriza Puyango–Tumbes”.

President Boluarte reaffirmed the historic ties of brotherhood and good neighborliness with Ecuador, as well as the desire to develop joint actions that will advance the progress of both nations.
She also conveyed to Noboa the greetings of the Peruvian people on his election and expressed the importance of jointly addressing the challenges facing both countries, especially in border areas.
During the meeting, the head of state emphasized the importance of joining forces on key issues such as combating international criminal organizations and illegal mining operations along their shared border.
In addition, she highlighted the commitment to the Peru-Ecuador Binational Cabinet, a mechanism for dialogue and political-diplomatic coordination at the highest level between the two countries, established in 2007.
In the presence of both leaders, the Foreign Ministers of Peru, Elmer Schialer, and Ecuador, Gabriela Sommerfeld, signed the “Binational Roadmap for the Recovery of Degraded Environments, Protection, and Conservation of the Puyango-Tumbes Transboundary Basin.”
