“Lamentamos lo que sucede con el Ministerio Público. Desde el Gobierno nacional ofrecemos esta instancia en la que los titulares del sistema podrán ventilar los temas que se requieran sin caer en la politización”, indicó el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial.

El titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM) también enfatizó que esta situación compromete la credibilidad en las instituciones judiciales, la estabilidad de los órganos constitucionalmente autónomos y, sobre todo, perjudica a la población, que demanda una justicia predecible.

“La posición del Ejecutivo siempre será la defensa de la democracia y la Constitución. No tomaremos partido por ninguna de las partes ni atizaremos el enfrentamiento. El papel de nuestro Gobierno es que la institucionalidad quede incólume”, añadió.

Cabe recordar que en el Consejo para la Reforma del Sistema de Justicia participan la presidenta de la república y los titulares del Congreso, el Poder Judicial, el Ministerio Público, el Tribunal Constitucional, la Junta Nacional de Justicia, la Contraloría General de la República y la Defensoría del Pueblo.

MEJORARÁN RESPUESTA ANTE DESASTRES
En otro momento, el jefe del Gabinete informó que el Consejo de Ministros, junto con el Instituto Nacional de Defensa Civil, el Instituto Geofísico del Perú y la Secretaría de Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres de la PCM, revisó los procedimientos para fortalecer la capacidad de respuesta frente a las emergencias, con el involucramiento de los organismos del Estado y los gobiernos regionales y locales.

“La defensa civil es tarea de todos, pero las responsabilidades de prevención recaen en los titulares de dichos organismos, en los alcaldes y en los funcionarios”, agregó el titular de la PCM.

PARO DE TRANSPORTISTAS
Respecto al paro convocado por gremios de transportistas, el premier Arana señaló que, si bien fue acatado por un sector minoritario, el Gobierno reconoce la legítima preocupación sector y de la ciudadanía frente a la inseguridad. “No se puede politizar una acción que impacta negativamente en las personas”, subrayó.

COORDINACIÓN INTERNACIONAL CONTRA EL CRIMEN TRANSNACIONAL
El titular de la PCM destacó que el Encuentro Anual del Programa de Asistencia contra el Crimen Transnacional Organizado (PACCTO), que se realiza en Lima promovido por la Unión Europea, permite reforzar la necesidad de que los países de América Latina, el Caribe, Europa y Estados Unidos fortalezcan su cooperación para enfrentar a la delincuencia organizada mediante acciones coordinadas.

En ese contexto, remarcó la importancia de identificar las rutas del dinero y la criminalidad, y de actuar de manera conjunta para sancionar a quienes vulneran la ley en diversos países.

It should be noted that the Council for the Reform of the Justice System includes the President of the Republic and the heads of Congress, the Judiciary, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Constitutional Court, the National Board of Justice, the Comptroller General’s Office, and the Ombudsman’s Office.

DISASTER RESPONSE WILL BE IMPROVED
On another occasion, the Chief of Staff reported that the Council of Ministers, together with the National Civil Defense Institute, the Geophysical Institute of Peru, and the Secretariat for Disaster Risk Management of the PCM, reviewed procedures to strengthen emergency response capacity, with the involvement of state agencies and regional and local governments.

“Civil defense is everyone’s responsibility, but the responsibilities for prevention fall on the heads of these agencies, the mayors, and public officials,” added the head of the PCM.

TRANSPORT STRIKE
Regarding the strike called by transport unions, Prime Minister Arana stated that, although it was followed by a minority, the government recognizes the legitimate concern of the sector and the public regarding insecurity. “An action that negatively impacts people cannot be politicized,” he emphasized.

INTERNATIONAL COORDINATION AGAINST TRANSNATIONAL CRIME
The head of the PCM emphasized that the Annual Meeting of the Program for Assistance against Transnational Organized Crime (PACCTO), held in Lima and sponsored by the European Union, reinforces the need for countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and the United States to strengthen their cooperation to combat organized crime through coordinated actions.

In this context, he stressed the importance of identifying money and crime routes and acting jointly to punish those who violate the law in various countries.
