La actividad se desarrolló durante su recorrido por las zonas más golpeadas, encabezando la respuesta del Estado ante la emergencia.

“Este es el módulo que tenemos en el norte del Perú, que además cuenta con aislamiento térmico y también es adecuado para la sierra. Le he pedido al ministro de Vivienda que los 500 módulos que están en el norte se traigan para acá de manera inmediata”, afirmó la mandataria.

La jefa de Estado llegó hasta Pumpunya, distrito de Chongos Bajo —epicentro del movimiento telúrico—, donde expresó su solidaridad con los deudos de las cinco personas que perdieron la vida en el siniestro. “Me encuentro en el lugar donde ha sido el epicentro y aquí hemos perdido a cinco hermanos. Entonces, lo primero que quiero es expresar mi profunda solidaridad”, manifestó.

En el lugar, inspeccionó los 20 módulos temporales ya instalados, estructuras diseñadas con aislamiento térmico, adaptadas al clima de la sierra y con suministro eléctrico garantizado. Asimismo, agradeció el esfuerzo conjunto de empresas privadas, el Gobierno Regional de Junín, municipalidades, INDECI, Policía Nacional, Fuerzas Armadas y los equipos de salud, vivienda y programas sociales como Pensión 65.

Acompañada por los ministros de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento, y de Defensa, además de autoridades locales y regionales, la presidenta recalcó que la visita personal tiene como fin garantizar que la recuperación sea integral. “Este es el momento en que nosotros demostramos cómo funcionamos como Estado. Quiero garantizar, y por eso vengo yo personalmente, que la reconstrucción se va a dar para que todas las personas que han perdido sus viviendas tengan una vivienda reconstruida en mi gobierno”, enfatizó.

Los pobladores de la zona acompañaron el recorrido y expresaron su reconocimiento por la presencia de la mandataria y el compromiso de su gestión con el desarrollo y la recuperación de Junín.

The Head of State traveled to Pumpunya, in the district of Chongos Bajo —epicenter of the seismic event— where she expressed her solidarity with the relatives of the five people who lost their lives in the disaster. “I am standing at the very place where the earthquake originated, and here we have lost five of our people. Therefore, my first words are to express my deepest solidarity,” she declared.

At the site, she inspected the 20 temporary modules already installed, structures designed with thermal insulation, adapted to the highland climate and equipped with guaranteed electricity supply. She also thanked the joint effort of private companies, the Regional Government of Junín, municipalities, INDECI, the National Police, the Armed Forces, and teams from the health, housing sectors and social programs such as Pensión 65.

Accompanied by the Ministers of Housing, Construction and Sanitation, and of Defense, as well as local and regional authorities, the President emphasized that her personal visit aims to ensure comprehensive recovery. “This is the moment when we demonstrate how we function as a State. I want to guarantee —and that is why I have come in person— that reconstruction will take place, so that every family that lost their home will have a rebuilt home during my administration,” she stressed.

Local residents accompanied the tour and expressed their gratitude for the President’s presence and her administration’s commitment to the development and recovery of Junín.
