Exportaciones de alimentos piuranos se recuperan, a la fecha superan el 39%, a portas de inicio de Expoalimentaria Virtual 2021.

Ese monto es solo 0.9% más alto que en el 2019 (US$ 970 millones 288 mil), año previo a la pandemia del Covid-19 que afectó toda la economía mundial, por lo que el Gobierno Regional (GORE) confirmó la participación de productores y exportadores de Piura en la Expoalimentaria Virtual 2021, la cual se llevará a cabo del 30 de septiembre al 8 de octubre en la plataforma comercial B2Perú.

En ese certamen –organizado por ADEX con el apoyo del Mincetur, RR.EE., Midagri y PromPerú– también confirmaron su presencia los GORE de Cusco, Ucayali, Cajamarca y Tacna, cuyas empresas, junto a las de otras regiones y países, podrán contactarse con compradores internacionales de los cinco continentes, quienes están buscando identificar proveedores confiables de alimentos.

Según cifras del sistema de inteligencia comercial ADEX Data Trade, los alimentos de la región piurana representaron más del 80.8% del total de sus despachos no tradicionales (US$ 1,211 millones 336 mil) y el 68.5% de los totales (US$ 1,430 millones 089 mil).

La partida más importante fue la pota congelada (US$ 215 millones 343 mil) con un importante aumento de 141%. Le siguieron los mangos frescos o en conserva (US$ 163 millones 781 mil), calamares en preparados o en conserva (US$ 98 millones 906 mil), plátanos frescos (US$ 82 millones 376 mil) y uvas frescas (US$ 49 millones 925 mil). Estos 5 productos concentraron el 62.3% del total.
