Head of State in a meeting with mayors indicated that the 2022 budget will prioritize works demanded by them.

Peruvian News Agency PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe The President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo called on the mayors of the country to work together to guarantee a safe return to face-to-face classes in March 2022 .

“In March of next year we will guarantee, together with you, 100 percent school attendance, for this we will bring water to the country’s schools through sanitation projects in all populated centers,” he emphasized.

During his participation in the ‘Meeting of the Executive with mayors of rural and urban municipalities working for local development’, the President affirmed that he will support the burgomasters in the objective of meeting the main needs of their peoples.

“Regardless of the cost, we have to enforce the dream of their peoples, which is access to drinking water, electricity, sewage and gas. I know the great effort you are making to come to the capital and I tell you that your visit will not be in vain, “he said.

The Head of State announced that the Executive Power will present a bill to the Congress of the Republic to carry out a “true reform of the State” which will strengthen the decentralization of the country.

“We have to end these bureaucratic obstacles so that we are no longer rocking mayors and governors. Let’s hope that the Legislature supports us with some regulations that tie the hands of the mayors and prevent the budget from reaching the municipalities directly, ”he said.

Along the same lines, he pointed out that next week the Budget Law project for fiscal year 2022 will be debated in Parliament, the same one that will prioritize the works demanded by the country’s mayors and their respective population.

“The Executive’s budget proposal scheduled what you are asking for; water, schools and medical posts and we are going to give them the necessary resources, “he said.

Likewise, the President welcomed the maturity of some congressmen of the Republic for worrying about the interests of the country and urged another sector of parliamentarians to stop thinking about issues that are far from what Peruvians need.

“I do not believe that any people in the country have chosen them for these requests. It is necessary that you talk with the congressmen to inform them of the needs of each people, ”he remarked.
