Como se recuerda en la víspera, el jefe de Estado fue enfático en señalar que ya no se permitirá que los delincuentes sigan haciendo de las suyas en las principales ciudades.

Durante la reunión, los titulares de las carteras ministeriales del Interior y de Defensa informaron sobre la implementación de las acciones previstas en el decreto supremo que declara el estado de emergencia en Lima Metropolitana y en la Provincia Constitucional del Callao, para enfrentar la inseguridad ciudadana.

Asimismo, se informó en detalle y meridianamente al Consejo de Ministros, entre otros temas, la situación actual de la pandemia y los avances del Plan Nacional de Vacunación contra la COVID-19, que con tanto éxito viene desarrollando el Perú en esta parte del continente.

De manera prístina se debatieron, entre otros aspectos, un proyecto de decreto supremo que prorroga el estado de emergencia nacional por las circunstancias que afectan la vida y salud de las personas como consecuencia de la COVID-19 y establece nuevas medidas para el restablecimiento de la convivencia social.

La sesión contó con la participación del presidente del Consejo de Ministros, Aníbal Torres Vásquez; y de los integrantes del Gabinete Ministerial.
