Este evento liderado por Prolima y la Subgerencia de Turismo desde las 10 a.m. hasta las 8 p.m. será de acceso libre para la ciudadanía y contará con una oferta gastronómica que incluye platillos elaborados por las congregaciones religiosas del Colectivo de Devotos de la Virgen de Monserrate, Festividad de Cristo Pobre y Señor Cautivo de Trinitarias, así como la Casa de la Gastronomía, los festivales del Centro Histórico y las asociaciones gastronómicas de los barrios de Santo Cristo y Lomas El Mirador.
Asimismo, los visitantes podrán encontrar diversos productos artesanales desarrollados por los ganadores y finalistas del II Concurso “Artesanías para Lima”, además de productos contemporáneos inspirados en la ciudad con el objetivo de dar a conocer a los diferentes emprendedores del sector turístico.
Entre las actividades programadas, el sábado 29 y domingo 30 a las 3 p.m. se dictarán los talleres “Aprendiendo con el Artesano” dirigidos por Amelia Chacón y Prudencio Ataucusi, respectivamente. Para participar de ambas ediciones, los interesados deberán inscribirse a través de los formularios publicados en la cuenta oficial de Facebook Visita Lima (www.facebook.com/visitalimaperu)
También se desarrollarán presentaciones musicales y artísticas, el pasacalle de Leones y Dragones Chinos y la segunda edición del Concurso “De Saya y Manto”, donde los ganadores podrán plasmar su creatividad en figuras de tapadas limeñas de tamaño real en una intervención en vivo durante la feria.
La comuna capitalina desarrolla estas actividades en el marco de la Feria de Octubre con el propósito de promover la visita a los principales atractivos turísticos del Centro Histórico, visibilizando a los emprendedores gastronómicos y artesanales de la ciudad, así como para generar espacios seguros de encuentro para la ciudadanía que permitan revalorar las tradiciones y saberes de Lima.
