Pérez de Cuéllar supervisó la habilitación de un puente aéreo para el envío de productos de primera necesidad desde el Grupo Aéreo N° 8, donde estuvo acompañada del ministro de Defensa, Jorge Chávez; la ministra de la Mujer, Nancy Tolentino; y el viceministro de Prestaciones y Aseguramiento en Salud, Henry Rebaza,

“Esta acción es una muestra clara del trabajo conjunto del Ejecutivo para cuidar de nuestros hermanos y hermanas”, sostuvo la titular del Ministerio de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento (MVCS).

Explicó que el MVCS está enviando una carga de sulfato de aluminio, que permitirá la continuidad del servicio en la ciudad de Puerto Maldonado y del centro poblado de El Triunfo, que no podía ser movilizada vía terrestre por los bloqueos que impiden el pase de productos de primera necesidad.

“El bloqueo de carreteras está afectando a los más vulnerables, los están dejando sin medicamentos, sin alimentos, sin acceso a agua limpia”, remarcó Pérez de Cuéllar. “Una vez más, invocamos a estas personas que están perjudicando a la población, incluso a sus propias familias, a abrir las vías”, agregó.

El sulfato de aluminio es un insumo necesario en el proceso de potabilización del agua. La Planta de Tratamiento de Agua Potable (PTAP) de Puerto Maldonado, utiliza entre 600 y 1000 kg diarios de este compuesto, y al no contar con el stock suficiente, se corría el riesgo de no poder producir más agua potable para la población.

Las 12 toneladas de sulfato de aluminio llegarán en 3 vuelos y serán entregadas por el director ejecutivo del Organismo Técnico de Administración de los Servicios de Saneamiento (OTASS), Héctor Barreda, a la EPS Empresa Municipal de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado de Tambopata (Emapat), que de esta manera garantizará el abastecimiento a 115 mil habitantes de Puerto Maldonado y del Centro Poblado El Triunfo, por 20 días.

MEDICINAS Y ALIMENTOS
Asimismo, se está trasladando más de 1 tonelada de medicamentos, dispositivos y equipos médicos para el hospital Santa Rosa de Puerto Maldonado, gestionados por el Ministerio de Salud; así como alimentos y otros bienes, gestionados por el Ministerio de la Mujer y Poblaciones Vulnerables, para los Centros de Acogida Residencial (CAR) de Puerto Maldonado.
