Al camión hidrojet de Epsel y a los cuatro que venían siendo operados por la EPS en el marco de la Estrategia Nacional de Limpieza de Colectores “Operación Alcantarillado”, promovida por el Otass y orientada al mantenimiento de las redes de desagüe, se sumaron en la última semana otras seis unidades similares cuyo traslado fue gestionado por el organismo técnico.

Tres de esas maquinarias de refuerzo están trabajando en las provincias de Chiclayo (distritos de Monsefú, Puerto Eten, Ciudad Eten, Santa Rosa, Reque, Lagunas, Zaña, Picsi, Nueva Arica y Oyotún), Lambayeque (distritos de San José, Lambayeque, Mochumí, Túcume, Íllimo, Pacora, Jayanca, Salas, Motupe y Olmos) y Ferreñafe (distrito de Pueblo Nuevo y centros poblados de Batán Grande y Pósope Alto).

Las otras tres unidades recién llegadas apoyarán en la recuperación de la red de alcantarillado del Cercado de Chiclayo, de los distritos de José Leonardo Ortiz, La Victoria y Pimentel, y del centro poblado Pampa Grande. Además, Epsel está planificando afrontar la emergencia también con maquinarias de balde.

Asimismo, la EPS está usando 13 motobombas proporcionadas por el GORE Lambayeque para la limpieza de las tuberías de desagüe en puntos críticos previamente definidos, colapsadas en muchos casos porque la población erróneamente abrió los buzones para arrojar a la red de alcantarillado el agua empozada producto de las lluvias.

Diez de esas máquinas, de 6 pulgadas cada una, están trabajando en Chiclayo y José Leonardo Ortiz. REPARTO GRATUITO DE AGUA POTABLE
La EPS Epsel también viene repartiendo agua potable segura y apta para el consumo humano a las poblaciones afectadas a través de 12 camiones cisternas (siete de 10 m3 y cinco de 34 m3), tres de los cuales son sido entregados por el Otass. De acuerdo a cronogramas compartidos en las redes sociales de la EPS, estas unidades brindan el recurso vital de manera gratuita en 23 distritos y tres centros poblados de las provincias de Chiclayo, Ferreñafe y Lambayeque, cuyo servicio, en varios casos, se ha visto afectado debido a fallas eléctricas en las estaciones de bombeo generadas por las precipitaciones pluviales.

Epsel es una de las 18 EPS administradas temporalmente por el Otass, a través del Régimen de Apoyo Transitorio (RAT), para ser reflotarlas mediante asistencia técnica y financiera. El organismo, brazo técnico ejecutor del Ministerio de Vivienda, también fortalece las gestiones empresariales de otras 30 empresas prestadoras de accionariado municipal; promueve la integración de localidades a las EPS; y presta servicios en Tumbes a través de Unidad Ejecutora 002 Agua Tumbes.
