Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe En el marco del Día Mundial de Concienciación sobre el Autismo, que se conmemora el 2 de abril, la presidenta Dina Boluarte expresó el compromiso del Gobierno con la atención de los peruanos y peruanas con discapacidad, y aseguró que trabajan permanentemente para garantizarles los derechos que por ley les corresponde.

“No vamos a parar hasta que estén bien atendidos en sus terapias físicas, de lenguaje y psicológicas”, dijo la mandataria en su visita al Centro de Atención Residencial (CAR) Matilde Pérez Palacio del Programa Integral Nacional para el Bienestar Familiar (Inabif), que alberga a 87 niñas, niños y adolescentes con discapacidad y multidiscapacidad.

La dignataria señaló que corresponde al Estado mirar con amor, interés y dedicación a la población vulnerable, a fin de que reciban la atención que merecen.

Asimismo, la jefa de Estado destacó que el CAR Matilde Pérez Palacio constituye un ejemplo que corresponde replicar y seguir en otros puntos del país, al recordar que todavía hay muchos peruanos desprotegidos o en situación de abandono a nivel nacional.

Durante la visita, algunos residentes del CAR diagnosticados con TEA mostraron sus habilidades con instrumentos musicales. La presidenta saludó a los integrantes de la orquesta y resaltó el trabajo que realizan los profesionales de esta institución del Estado.

El referido establecimiento, fundado el 27 de junio del 2009, brinda servicios especializados de cuidado integral (atención en salud, atención nutricional, intervención psicológica, reforzamiento educativo, terapia física, terapia ocupacional, terapia de lenguaje, recreación, participación en eventos socio culturales y apoyo social).

La presidenta Boluarte estuvo acompañada por la ministra de la Mujer y Poblaciones Vulnerables, Nancy Tolentino; la viceministra de Poblaciones Vulnerables, Elba Espinoza, y la directora ejecutiva del Inabif, María del Carmen Barragán.

Esta noche, el frontis de Palacio de Gobierno se iluminará de color azul, en el marco de la campaña “Luz azul por el autismo”, iniciativa que se replicará mañana domingo en conmemoración al Día Mundial de la Concienciación sobre el Autismo.

President Boluarte was accompanied by the Minister for Women and Vulnerable Populations, Nancy Tolentino; the vice minister of Vulnerable Populations, Elba Espinoza, and the executive director of Inabif, María del Carmen Barragán.

Tonight, the front of the Government Palace will be illuminated in blue, within the framework of the “Blue Light for Autism” campaign, an initiative that will be replicated tomorrow, Sunday, in commemoration of World Autism Awareness Day.
