La nueva torre de control y la segunda pista de aterrizaje, resaltó la jefa de Estado, marcan un hito en la escena nacional, por tratarse de proyectos de infraestructura de alto impacto para el futuro de la patria.

“La fortaleza de un país también se mide por su capacidad de ejecutar grandes obras de infraestructura, como la que vemos hoy, obras que impulsarán el crecimiento y el progreso, que dinamizarán la economía, y abrirán grandes oportunidades para las peruanas y peruanos”, afirmó.

Con estas obras, el aeropuerto Jorge Chávez tendrá capacidad para recibir 30 millones de pasajeros al año y garantizará sus operaciones. Además, será fundamental para programar y habilitar los vuelos humanitarios que permitan atender a los afectados por lluvias, inundaciones y otros fenómenos naturales.
