Junto a la ministra de Desarrollo Agrario y Riego, Nelly Paredes, el premier resaltó la necesidad de atender la emergencia y consolidar los proyectos que requiere la población. Para ello, destacó la importancia de mantener una coordinación entre los tres niveles de Gobierno.

En ese sentido, saludó que el Congreso de la República haya aprobado el crédito suplementario por S/8232 millones. “Este monto servirá para atender la crisis; de ese total, vamos a destinar S/3556 millones a la emergencia y la reactivación económica”, explicó.

Añadió que también se trabajará en el cierre de la brecha de infraestructura que hay en este punto del país, priorizando obras de prevención para paliar los efectos del fenómeno El Niño, además de infraestructura que mejore la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos y que pueda ser ejecutada durante este año.

El jefe de Gabinete Ministerial anunció que hoy llegarán a esta jurisdicción más de 65 toneladas de bienes de ayuda humanitaria en el BAP Pisco. Hasta el momento han sido entregadas 193.9 toneladas de ayuda al Gobierno Regional de Tumbes, correspondientes al Ejecutivo y a donaciones del sector privado.

Tras adelantar que se instalará en la región una oficina de enlace permanente de diálogo de la PCM, Otárola Peñaranda hizo un llamado a la unión. “Les pido a nombre de los 33 millones de peruanos que siempre quieren la paz y la tranquilidad que impulsemos esta agenda de gobernabilidad y trabajemos juntos por el desarrollo”, finalizó.

La jornada contó con la presencia del gobernador Segismundo Cruces, así como el alcalde provincial de Tumbes, Hildebrando Antón Ynfante, y los alcaldes distritales de La Cruz, Pampas de Hospital, San Jacinto, San Juan de la Virgen.

Asimismo, asistió el alcalde provincial de Zarumilla, Christian Aguayo, junto a las autoridades distritales de Aguas Verdes, Matapalo y Papayal. En tanto, el alcalde provincial de Contralmirante Villar, Jaime Yacila, estuvo acompañado por los burgomaestres locales de Canoas de Punta Sal y Casitas.

También participaron el viceministro de Gobernanza Territorial de la PCM, Paúl Caiguaray, y el congresista Héctor Ventura.

Mediante Decreto Supremo N.° 043-2023-PCM, la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros declaró el Estado de Emergencia Nacional, por desastre de gran magnitud, a consecuencia de intensas precipitaciones pluviales en los departamentos de Lambayeque, Piura y Tumbes.

En ese marco, el Ejecutivo continúa tomando medidas oportunas para hacer frente al embate de la naturaleza, desplegando personal, brindando asistencia técnica, derivando alimentos y equipo pesado para las tareas de limpieza y descolmatación, entre otras labores.
