El presidente ejecutivo de Sierra y Selva Exportadora, Percy Medina Morales; aseguró que desde la institución a su cargo se seguirá impulsando y articulando el mercado en beneficio de los pequeños productores agropecuarios, especialmente de aquellos vinculados con productos con potencial exportador.

La ceremonia de recepción de la sede para la FICAFÉ se realizó en la isla Amantaní y fue presidida por el gobernador regional de Puno, Richard Hancco Soncco; quien lidera el Comité Organizador y destacó los diferentes lugares turísticos que tiene su región, por lo que invitó a visitarlos.

La FICAFÉ, que es un espacio donde interactúan compradores, nacionales e internacionales, congregará a destacados productores y tostadurias, entre otros actores vinculados con la cadena de café, donde Sierra y Selva Exportadora se convierte en un aliado estratégico en el desarrollo de dicha feria.

CECOVASA
Durante su visita en Puno, Medina Morales también recorrió las instalaciones de la planta procesadora de café de la Central de Cooperativas Agrarias Cafetaleras de los Valles de Sandia (CECOVASA), donde verificó el proceso de transformación del café en grano hasta convertirse en producto final para su comercialización.

En el encuentro con los directivos y el gerente general de CECOVASA, Humberto Parcco, el presidente ejecutivo de Sierra y Selva Exportadora se comprometió a seguir brindando asistencia técnica y fortaleciendo la articulación comercial al mercado del café puneño, resaltando la participación que tendrá la institución que dirige en la FICAFÉ 2023.

CECOVASA está conformada por ocho cooperativas que congregan a más de 5,000 socios.

TIENDA “ECOANDINA”
Luego de visitar la tienda andina “Ecoandina”, donde se comercializan alimentos nutritivos a base de quinua y cañihua de la Cooperativa COPAISEG San Román, el presidente ejecutivo de Sierra y Selva Exportadora, Percy Medina Morales; destacó el valor agregado que le otorgan a nuestros granos andinos las organizaciones de productores.

En ese sentido, se comprometió a seguir fortaleciendo a dicha Cooperativa con asistencias técnicas y buscando nuevos mercados, a través de la articulación comercial. Por su parte, el gerente general, Sixto Taype; resaltó el trabajo articulado que existe entre su organización y Sierra y Selva Exportadora.

Sierra y Selva Exportadora es una institución adscrita al MIDAGRI, responsable de realizar actividades para facilitar y acercar la oferta de los productores de la agricultura familiar, así como de atender la demanda en el mercado interno y externo, buscando la innovación en la parte productiva y de post cosecha, para generar valor agregado en la producción agraria y reactivar la actividad económica formal en el ámbito rural.
