Este moderno nosocomio, refirió la mandataria, es una de las obras que su gestión encontró paralizada desde hace ocho años. Cuenta con consultorios externos, 32 camas de hospitalización, sala de operaciones, un centro obstétrico, emergencia las 24 horas del día, entre otros servicios.

“Beneficiará a 60 mil pobladores que, en su mayoría, provienen de más de 240 comunidades nativas de los distritos de Raimondi, Tahuanía, Sepahua y Yurúa, en especial a las hermanas y hermanos asháninkas. Será el primer hospital intercultural del Perú, ahí serán atendidos en sus lenguas originarias y respetando sus costumbres, como el parto vertical”, destacó.

Asimismo, la mandataria indicó que uno de los objetivos de su gobierno es unir a los pueblos y garantizar la educación, por lo que dispuso que se acelere los plazos para el asfaltado de la carretera Puerto Ocopa –Atalaya y que se duplique a 10 mil la oferta de Beca 18 para los estudiantes.

La presidenta, quien estuvo acompañada del ministro de Salud, César Vásquez, dijo también que el compromiso del nuevo titular del sector, que ayer juró al cargo, es brindar una salud de calidad, fortalecer el nivel primario de atención e impulsar la lucha contra el dengue, que ahora se enfrenta en distintas variantes.

“Depende de todos, debemos trabajar en forma articulada, tenemos que limpiar las casas con frecuencia, sacar los deshechos para que las larvas del mosquito no hagan su hábitat, tenemos que fumigar, abran las puertas de sus hogares para que esa labor sea efectiva”, exhortó.

LA DEMOCRACIA GENERA PROGRESO Y BIENESTAR
En ese marco, la dignataria ratificó el compromiso firme del Gobierno con la institucionalidad, la democracia y el diálogo sincero y fraterno, por lo que pidió poner fin a la intolerancia y no seguir polarizando el país.

“La democracia no se defiende por cálculo político, midiendo plazos y escenarios, mirando las encuestas, o solo cuando a uno le conviene. La defensa de la democracia es por convicción, porque es el único camino para salir adelante, para generar progreso y bienestar respetando el derecho de todas y todos”, apuntó.

Participaron en esta actividad el gobernador regional Ucayali, Manuel Gambini; el congresista Elvis Vergara, y el acalde de Atalaya, Francisco Mendoza de Souza, quien entregó a la dignataria las llaves de la ciudad y la declaró huésped ilustre de Atalaya.
