Al encuentro asistieron el viceministro de Gobernanza Territorial de la PCM, Paúl Caiguaray; el presidente del consejo directivo del Instituto del Mar del Perú (Imarpe), Jorge Manuel Paz Acosta; así como Guillermo Baigorria Paz, presidente ejecutivo del Senamhi; Miguel Yamasaki Koizumi, jefe del Cenepred; y el jefe del Indeci, Carlos Manuel Yáñez Lazo.

Las autoridades de las instituciones señalaron que las proyecciones para el fenómeno El Niño en el Perú se mantienen en nivel débil a moderado, por lo cual se está realizando un intenso monitoreo de las condiciones del mar y se mantiene la articulación con los gobiernos regionales.

Al término de la reunión, el premier exhortó a la población a mantener la tranquilidad necesaria, pues el Gobierno está en permanente coordinación con los expertos en el tema.

“Estamos enfrentando de manera articulada la presencia de El Niño global, que en estos momentos tendrá una intensidad de débil a moderada. Quiero enviar un mensaje de tranquilidad a la población, tenemos el anuncio de la presidenta Dina Boluarte de un presupuesto de más de S/1500 millones para labores de prevención y también estamos siempre coordinando con los especialistas, que son los que más saben al respecto”, apuntó Otárola.
