Las labores de supervisión y fiscalización de la Sutran se realizan los 365 días del año, gracias al trabajo de más de 900 inspectores desplegados en las 21 Unidades Desconcentradas a nivel nacional; siendo las regiones de Lima, Áncash, Junín, Lambayeque y La Libertad, las que registraron mayor número de actas impuestas con 1044, 265, 183, 111 y 103, respectivamente.
Además, en el periodo mencionado, se aplicaron medidas preventivas como el retiro de 1803 placas, la retención de 2000 licencias de conducir; mientras que 489 vehículos fueron internados en el depósito vehicular.
William Rodríguez, superintendente de la Sutran, destacó que todas las unidades de transporte terrestre de personas, carga y mercancías de ámbito nacional, deben contar con la Tarjeta Única de Circulación (TUC), que es el título habilitante emitido por el Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones (MTC).
La Sutran recomienda utilizar servicios de transporte autorizado, en salvaguarda de su vida y de su integridad.
