“A través de este decreto se autoriza la inmediata intervención, en los asuntos de su competencia, de la gobernadora regional de Moquegua, de las autoridades provinciales y distritales, del Instituto Nacional de Defensa Civil y de los ministerios, los cuales desde hace días trabajan en el control de daños y la habilitación para que la población tenga una asistencia inmediata”, indicó el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial.

La declaratoria de estado de emergencia, aprobada en Consejo de Ministros, comprende a los distritos de Coalaque, Chojata, Ichuña, Lloque, Matalaque, Ubinas y Yunga por peligro inminente ante el proceso eruptivo del volcán Ubinas.

El titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM) también anunció el viaje de trabajo de la ministra de Transportes y Comunicaciones, Paola Lazarte Castillo, a la provincia de General Sánchez Cerro, con el objetivo de articular acciones con las autoridades, inspeccionar el fenómeno y realizar coordinaciones con el Ejecutivo.

SE GARANTIZA LA CONTINUIDAD DEL SERVICIO EDUCATIVO
Durante el consejo también se aprobó el decreto de urgencia que dicta medidas extraordinarias y urgentes para garantizar la continuidad del servicio educativo en los departamentos de Lambayeque, Piura y Tumbes ante los daños causados por las intensas lluvias y el posible fenómeno de El Niño.

“Este decreto va a significar una inversión de más de S/67 millones que beneficiarán a cerca de 5 mil colegios en las zonas indicadas”, explicó el premier Alberto Otárola.

Por su parte, la titular del Ministerio de Educación (Minedu), Magnet Márquez Ramírez, aseguró que la medida considera la preparación de las instituciones educativas con el objetivo de evitar que se interrumpan las clases.

“Se pondrán coberturas de techos, se mejorarán las que ya se tienen y se realizará la limpieza de los drenajes a fin de evitar las inundaciones”, declaró Márquez, quien señaló que el decreto beneficiará a 790 mil alumnos, aproximadamente.

PLAN PREVENTIVO PARA ENFRENTAR EL DENGUE
Ante los fenómenos climáticos anunciados, el ministro de Salud, César Vásquez Sánchez, informó sobre la aplicación de un plan preventivo, enfocado a diciembre del 2023, para atender los posibles contagios de esta enfermedad.

“Estamos aplicando un plan de contingencia hasta diciembre de este año y otro para los próximos dos años, porque tenemos claro los problemas sanitarios que generará esta enfermedad en los próximos meses” manifestó el titular del Ministerio de Salud (Minsa).

Vásquez Sánchez sostuvo que el plan comprende una intervención multisectorial, liderada por el Minsa, y un centro de monitoreo en las regiones, con equipos necesarios e insumos, con el objeto de implementar cercos epidemiológicos en donde ocurran brotes de la enfermedad.

“This decree will mean an investment of more than S/67 million that will benefit about 5,000 schools in the indicated areas,” explained Prime Minister Alberto Otárola.

For her part, the head of the Ministry of Education (Minedu), Magnet Márquez Ramírez, assured that the measure considers the preparation of educational institutions in order to avoid interrupting classes.

“Roof covers will be installed, existing ones will be improved, and drains will be cleaned in order to prevent flooding,” said Márquez, who pointed out that the decree will benefit approximately 790,000 students.

PREVENTIVE PLAN TO FACE DENGUE
Given the announced climatic phenomena, the Minister of Health, César Vásquez Sánchez, reported on the application of a preventive plan, focused on December 2023, to address possible infections of this disease.

“We are applying a contingency plan until December of this year and another for the next two years, because we are clear about the health problems that this disease will generate in the coming months,” said the head of the Ministry of Health (Minsa).

Vásquez Sánchez said that the plan includes a multisectoral intervention, led by Minsa, and a monitoring center in the regions, with the necessary equipment and supplies, in order to implement epidemiological fences where outbreaks of the disease occur.
