En el marco de la ceremonia por el 199.° aniversario de la batalla de Junín, la presidenta de la república, Dina Boluarte, señaló hoy que su gobierno atiende a los pueblos del interior del país cuyo desarrollo había sido postergado.
“Tenemos un compromiso firme con Junín, con los pueblos del interior del país y todas nuestras comunidades que, por décadas, han sido miradas con desdén desde Lima, cuyo desarrollo ha sido postergado, y que este gobierno está atendiendo, de la mano de las autoridades que el pueblo ha elegido”, dijo.
La jefa de Estado reiteró que es momento de poner por encima de todo los intereses sagrados del Perú y trabajar juntos para enfrentar los grandes desafíos de nuestra patria.
“Desde este lugar histórico, convoco a todos los sectores de nuestra sociedad. Los convoco, a partir de la convicción muy cierta, de que más allá de nuestras diferencias, somos parte de una misma historia y de una gran nación, y todos queremos lo mejor para ella”, manifestó.
NUEVA ETAPA
La presidenta Boluarte destacó que el Perú abre una nueva etapa de diálogo, unidad, reconciliación y crecimiento, para trabajar juntos y atender las justas demandas del interior del país que han sido postergadas.
La jefa de Estado indicó que se ejecutarán grandes obras de infraestructura, se luchará frontalmente contra la delincuencia y se garantizará el acceso y la atención integral de salud, gratuita y universal para todas las peruanas y peruanos.
“Nos proponemos hacer realidad el sueño de una petroquímica en el sur del país, que producirá fertilizante a bajo costo para nuestros agricultores y que garantice el gas natural en todos los hogares que, reitero, es nuestra promesa y será el mayor legado de nuestra gestión. También, vamos a sacar adelante la nueva Carretera Central que unirá a Junín con todo el país”, dijo.
La presidenta Boluarte estuvo acompaña por el jefe del gabinete ministerial, Alberto Otárola; el gobernador regional de Junín, Zósimo Cárdenas; el alcalde provincial de Junín, Elio Zevallos; ministros de Estado, congresistas, miembros del cuerpo diplomático y embajadores, entre otras autoridades.
BATALLA DE JUNÍN
La batalla de Junín fue uno de los últimos enfrentamientos que sostuvieron los ejércitos realistas y patriotas en el proceso de la independencia del Perú, el 6 de agosto de 1824.
La batalla se desarrolló en la pampa de Junín o también llamada la Meseta de Bombón, situada en el centro del Perú en el actual departamento de Junín a orillas del lago llamado Junín o Chinchaycocha que está situado a 4000 ms.n.m.

The Head of State reiterated that it is time to put Peru’s sacred interests above all else and work together to face the great challenges of our country.
“From this historic place, I summon all sectors of our society. I summon you, based on the very certain conviction that, beyond our differences, we are part of the same history and of a great nation, and we all want the best for it,” he said.
NEW STAGE
President Boluarte stressed that Peru opens a new stage of dialogue, unity, reconciliation and growth, to work together and meet the just demands from within the country that have been postponed.
The Head of State indicated that large infrastructure works will be carried out, crime will be fought head-on and access and comprehensive, free and universal health care will be guaranteed for all Peruvians.
“We intend to make the dream of a petrochemical company in the south of the country a reality, which will produce low-cost fertilizer for our farmers and guarantee natural gas in all homes, which, I reiterate, is our promise and will be the greatest legacy of our management. . Also, we are going to carry out the new Central Highway that will unite Junín with the entire country,” he said.
President Boluarte was accompanied by the head of the ministerial cabinet, Alberto Otárola; the regional governor of Junín, Zósimo Cárdenas; the provincial mayor of Junín, Elio Zevallos; State ministers, congressmen, members of the diplomatic corps and ambassadors, among other authorities.
BATTLE OF JUNIN
The battle of Junín was one of the last confrontations between the royalist and patriotic armies in the process of the independence of Peru, on August 6, 1824.
The battle took place in the Junín pampa or also called the Meseta de Bombón, located in central Peru in the current department of Junín on the shores of the lake called Junín or Chinchaycocha, which is located at 4000 masl.
