La intervención de la mandataria, quien se encuentra acompañada de la ministra de Relaciones Exteriores, Ana Cecilia Gervasi, y de la ministra del Ambiente, Albina Ruiz, está prevista para la jornada de la mañana.

La agenda oficial de la Cumbre Amazónica, que tiene como anfitrión al mandatario de Brasil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, considera también una foto oficial de los presidentes y jefes de Gobierno que participan del encuentro, así como la adopción de la Declaración de Belém.

En el marco de su participación en esta importante reunión internacional, la mandataria sostendrá también reuniones bilaterales con el presidente de la COP 28, el ministro de Industrias y Desarrollo Tecnológico de Emiratos Árabes Unidos, sultán Ahmed Al Jaber, así como el ministro coordinador para Asuntos Marítimos e Inversiones de Indonesia, Luhut Pandjaitan.

Cabe precisar que, en la víspera, la presidenta Boluarte sostuvo una reunión bilateral con el mandatario de Brasil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, en el marco de su viaje a este país, el primero que realiza durante su gestión y durante el cual continúa gestionando en forma remota el Despacho Presidencial, atendiendo los temas de importancia para el país.

En la Cumbre Amazónica se discutirán los complejos problemas que enfrenta la región Amazónica, como los incendios forestales, las actividades de extracción, la pérdida de carbono, la tala ilegal de árboles, entre otros.
