El sábado 9 de setiembre en horas de la mañana en el local de la Unión Venezolana en Perú, se realizó la entrega formal de los kits para emprendimiento en pastelería a 40 jóvenes para promover el autoempleo en beneficio de ellos y sus familias. Los kits contenían una batidora, moldes, tazas, colador, cortadores entre otros artículos.
Los jóvenes previamente recibieron capacitación técnica para mejorar sus competencias e incrementar sus oportunidades laborales y mejorar sus ingresos mediante el programa Horizonte con el apoyo de la oficina de las naciones unidas para los refugiados – ACNUR.

Oscar Pérez, presidente de la Unión Venezolana en Perú, agradeció la donación de la Iglesia de Jesucristo recibida en un evento de logros de sus programas de mayores y de jóvenes emprendedores y expresó: ”Creo en Jesucristo y este principio lo comparto con la Iglesia de Jesucristo y estamos muy agradecidos por estas herramientas necesarias para seguir logrando que madres y jóvenes puedan desenvolverse y seguir adelante gracias a esta donación significativa”.

Juan Carlos Ormeño, Director de Comunicación de la Iglesia de Jesucristo en Lima, al entregar la donación expresó que la Iglesia apoya los esfuerzos de las instituciones que ayudan a las personas que necesitan orientación y capacitación para incrementar sus habilidades para que accedan a las oportunidades laborales y alcancen su autosuficiencia.
