La mandataria participó en la Cumbre de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), en el Diálogo de Líderes 1: Intensificar las medidas relacionadas con las transiciones claves para acelerar el progreso hacia los ODS, acompañada por los ministros de Relaciones Exteriores, Ana Cecilia Gervasi; del Ambiente, Albina Ruiz; de Salud, César Vásquez, y de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Juan Carlos Mathews.

Indicó que, como muestra del compromiso con el desarrollo sostenible, más del 99% de peruanos tiene un seguro médico, de los cuales el 70% corresponde al Seguro Integral de Salud (SIS), y que se ha destinado cerca de 140 millones de dólares para para la implementación de la Red Oncológica Nacional.

En materia de educación, se fortalece la educación intercultural bilingüe mediante libros y materiales educativos en lenguas originarias y se impulsará el aprendizaje del inglés desde el nivel inicial; mientras que en trabajo, la intervención Wiñay Warmi logrará que más de 620 mil mujeres accedan a empleos de calidad.

A su vez, sostuvo que en biodiversidad y medioambiente, el Perú se comprometió en la Cumbre Amazónica a aumentar las áreas de conservación terrestre y acuática, lo que permitirá que a fin de año se tenga 10 millones de árboles sembrados.
