El proyecto, demandará una inversión de S/ 250 millones.

“Estamos en el desarrollo del expediente de perfil, que debe culminar en el primer trimestre del 2024. Ese mismo año, se debe concretar el expediente técnico y, en el 2025, lanzaríamos la subasta para que se inicie la construcción del aeropuerto, en el segundo semestre del mismo año”, detalló Pérez Reyes, durante su visita oficial a Tingo María, donde participó en la reunión de trabajo de la Comisión Multisectorial para impulsar el desarrollo de la Amazonía y la Expo Amazónica 2023.

Con esta obra, dijo, la ciudad de Tingo María contará con un aeropuerto similar al que tiene Jauja, por ejemplo. Podrá recibir aeronaves de buen nivel de distintas aerolíneas.

Finalmente, Indicó que, mientras eso ocurra, se viene trabajando con el Gobierno Regional de Huánuco para el mejoramiento del actual terminal aéreo de la ciudad.
