La entidad precisó que la tuneladora Micaela construyó dichos 4.5 km de túnel en solo 10 meses. Comenzó a perforar en setiembre del 2022 desde la estación Insurgentes (E-04), pasando luego por las estaciones Juan Pablo (E-03) y Buenos Aires (E-02) hasta llegar en julio de este año a la estación Puerto del Callao (E-01).

Al haber concluido su labor, la tuneladora Micaela en los próximos meses será desmontada y trasladada al pozo de ventilación PV4-1BIS, ubicado en la av. Faucett, para iniciar la construcción de 7.7 km de túnel del Ramal av. Faucett – av. Gambeta, desde la estación Gambetta hasta la estación Carmen de la Legua (donde se interconectará con la Línea 2).

Por su parte, la tuneladora Delia comenzó a perforar en la estación San Juan de Dios (E-19) desde donde avanzó hasta llegar el viernes pasado a la estación 28 de julio (E-16), haciendo un total de 3.2 km. Solo en el último tramo, entre las estaciones Nicolás Ayllón (E-17) y 28 de Julio, Delia construyó 877 metros de túnel.

Ahora, la tuneladora continuará con su excavación estimándose que llegaría en el mes de enero del próximo año a la estación Cangallo (E-15). Desde ahí, seguirá por las estaciones Manco Cápac (E-14), Central (E-13) y Plaza Bolognesi (E-12) hasta llegar a la tercera vía de la estación Parque Murillo, concluyendo, de esta manera, con la etapa 1B de este megaproyecto.

Posteriormente, Delia iniciará la perforación del túnel que integra la mayoría de las estaciones que forman la etapa 2: Parque Murillo (E-11), Tingo María (E-10), La Alborada (E-09), Elio (E-08), San Marcos (E-07), Óscar Benavides (E-06), Carmen de la Legua (E-05) e Insurgentes (E-04). En total, serán 10 km a perforar.

Cabe señalar que mientras las tuneladoras excavan, por medio de su cabeza giratoria que se encuentra equipada con elementos de corte y accionada por motores hidráulicos, simultáneamente colocan dovelas de concreto que conforman los anillos que son el revestimiento final del túnel.

MARCHA BLANCA DE LA ETAPA 1A SE INICIA EL 21 DICIEMBRE
El Concesionario tiene previsto, este 21 de diciembre, iniciar la marcha blanca de la etapa 1A de la Línea 2, que tiene una distancia de 5 km y comprende las estaciones Mercado Santa Anita (E-24), Hermilio Valdizán (E-23), Colectora Industrial (E-22), Óvalo Santa Anita (E-21) y Evitamiento (E-20), que se recorrerán en seis minutos, beneficiando a unos 60 000 usuarios al día.

Una vez culminados los trabajos, la Línea 2 del Metro, que tendrá 27 estaciones, recorrerá sus 27 km desde Ate al Callao en solo 45 minutos transportando hasta 660 000 personas por día.
