Tras un sobrevuelo de inspección a las obras que se realizan en los sectores Uña de Gato-Puente Europa y Uña de Gato-Bocatoma La Palma del río Zarumilla, en el distrito de Aguas Verdes, Tumbes, la mandataria pidió a las autoridades acelerar estos trabajos.
“No esperen a que llegue la lluvia y el huaico, por eso estamos haciendo estas visitas para ver cómo va el trabajo preventivo, entremos de manera acelerada”, indicó la jefa de Estado al precisar que volverá a inspeccionar las regiones del norte del país para constatar los avances.
Durante la ceremonia de presentación de los equipos mecánicos y vehículos entregados a los batallones de Ingeniería del Ejército, en Tumbes, la jefa de Estado exhortó también a las autoridades que solicitarán el apoyo de este equipamiento a usarlo en forma eficiente.
Recordó que su gobierno ha destinado, por primera vez, un presupuesto significativo para realizar trabajos de prevención en el norte del país y para fortalecer la capacidad de respuesta del Estado con un mayor equipamiento, a fin de proteger la vida de los ciudadanos.
La mandataria, asimismo, indicó que el presupuesto de los gobiernos regionales y locales se incrementó para el 2024, por lo que llamó a sus autoridades a trabajar para mejorar la calidad de vida de la población y acortar las brechas.
“Ha crecido el presupuesto para los gobiernos regionales y locales, ninguno tiene menos presupuesto que el año pasado en esa mirada de que Perú avance al desarrollo”, apuntó.
