La mandataria remarcó también las acciones que realiza la Marina, como el despliegue de sus unidades navales en el país y en el mundo, enfrentando a los remanentes del terrorismo y participando activamente en la lucha contra el narcotráfico, la tala, minería ilegal y pesca ilegal.

La institución bicentenaria, según manifestó la jefa de Estado, cumple además un valioso trabajo al servicio del país, batallando con tenacidad contra la pobreza, atendiendo a los afectados por desastres naturales, a la población en las zonas frontera y acercando los servicios del Estado a la ciudadanía, a través de las Plataformas Itinerantes de Acción Social (PIAS).

“En esta fecha expreso también mi saludo y reconocimiento al servicio que brindan más de 30 mil mujeres y hombres que integran esta noble institución. Desde el Callao, la mandataria expresó su total reconocimiento a la memoria del almirante Miguel Grau Seminario, héroe del combate de Angamos, ejemplo de integridad y ciudadano responsable con la patria, cualidades que lo encumbraron en lo más alto de la historia nacional.
