La entidad señaló que lo más importante ante esta situación es mantener la calma, seguir las recomendaciones del personal de campo y dirigirse hacia las zonas seguras.

En el caso del Metropolitano, los buses que están en movimiento disminuirán la velocidad y se detendrán en un lugar seguro hasta que pase el sismo. Mientras tanto, el conductor mantendrá las puertas cerradas y las luces de emergencia encendidas. Luego de la emergencia, se dirigirá hasta la estación más cercana para que los pasajeros puedan bajar.

En la zona de embarque, las unidades permanecerán en este lugar con las puertas abiertas para facilitar la salida de los usuarios. Los agentes de seguridad y orientadores guiarán a los pasajeros hacia las zonas seguras (círculos amarillos) debidamente señalizadas, y no permitirán el ingreso de ninguna persona a los buses y estaciones.

En los corredores complementarios, los controladores de vía que se encuentran en distintos paraderos identificarán los espacios seguros para ayudar a los usuarios a evacuar, alejándolos de los edificios con ventanas, postes o estructuras que pudieran desplomarse.

Además, el conductor deberá disminuir la velocidad y colocar el vehículo en una zona segura al lado derecho de la vía, alejado de los árboles, postes u otro peligro. Las puertas del bus permanecerán cerradas hasta que sea segura la evacuación de los usuarios.

En la Línea 1 del Metro, los trenes detendrán su marcha y permanecerán con las puertas cerradas entre estaciones, mientras que en la zona de andenes estarán con las puertas abiertas. Los usuarios por ningún motivo deben descender a la vía, deberán seguir las indicaciones del conductor y del personal de seguridad a bordo del tren, y esperar a que reanude su marcha hasta la siguiente estación donde podrán descender.

En las estaciones, los pasajeros deberán seguir las indicaciones del personal del concesionario de Línea 1 que los guiará hacia las zonas seguras externas.

En caso de los taxis, se sugiere a los pasajeros no bajar de la unidad para evitar accidentes. El conductor deberá estacionarse en un lugar seguro y contar con un kit de emergencia, extintor y el botiquín de primeros auxilios.

Este lunes 6 de noviembre se realizará el Tercer Simulacro Nacional Multipeligro del 2023 organizado por el Instituto Nacional de Defensa Civil (Indeci) desde las 8 p. m., con el objetivo de fortalecer las capacidades de preparación para la respuesta y rehabilitación de las entidades que integran el Sistema Nacional de Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres (Sinagerd) y de la ciudadanía en general.

La ATU invoca a los usuarios de transporte a participar de manera activa siguiendo las indicaciones de su personal de campo, a fin de estar preparados ante una emergencia real.

The entity pointed out that the most important thing in this situation is to remain calm, follow the recommendations of field personnel and go to safe areas.

In the case of the Metropolitano, buses that are moving will slow down and stop in a safe place until the earthquake passes. Meanwhile, the driver will keep the doors closed and the emergency lights on. After the emergency, it will go to the nearest station so that passengers can get off.

In the boarding area, the units will remain in this place with the doors open to facilitate the exit of users. Security agents and counselors will guide passengers to the safe areas (yellow circles) duly marked, and will not allow anyone to enter the buses and stations.

In the complementary corridors, road controllers located at different stops will identify safe spaces to help users evacuate, keeping them away from buildings with windows, poles or structures that could collapse.

Additionally, the driver must slow down and place the vehicle in a safe area on the right side of the road, away from trees, poles or other dangers. The bus doors will remain closed until the evacuation of users is safe.

On Metro Line 1, trains will stop moving and will remain with their doors closed between stations, while in the platform area they will have their doors open. Users should under no circumstances descend onto the track; they must follow the instructions of the driver and security personnel on board the train, and wait for it to resume moving to the next station where they can get off.

At the stations, passengers must follow the instructions of the Line 1 concessionaire staff who will guide them to the external safe areas.

In the case of taxis, passengers are advised not to get out of the vehicle to avoid accidents. The driver must park in a safe place and have an emergency kit, fire extinguisher and first aid kit.

This Monday, November 6, the Third National Multihazard Drill of 2023 will be held organized by the National Institute of Civil Defense (Indeci) from 8 p.m. m., with the objective of strengthening the preparation capacities for the response and rehabilitation of the entities that make up the National Disaster Risk Management System (Sinagerd) and of citizens in general.

The ATU calls on transport users to actively participate following the instructions of their field staff, in order to be prepared in the event of a real emergency.
