Con ello empieza la migración a señal HD (Alta Definición) de la infraestructura tecnológica del canal de televisión del Congreso de la República que, de esta forma llegará al Perú y el mundo, con su contenido informativo y la transmisión de debates y audiencias, muchas de ellas descentralizadas, para conocimiento de la población.

Este logro no hubiera sido posible sin el aporte del personal técnico, reporteros, redactores, camarógrafos y productores, entre otros, del Congreso TV.

A ello se suma el invalorable apoyo de la Mesa Directiva, presidida por el congresista Alejandro Soto Reyes, identificada con los procesos de innovación y modernización tecnológica del Poder Legislativo.

El lanzamiento de la señal HD se suma al sistema SD de televisión convencional y al Canal Digital.

El ingreso a la Alta Definición, permitirá al Congreso TV la mejora de la calidad de la señal de televisión para la difusión de contenidos institucionales elaborados por la Oficina de Comunicaciones e Imagen Institucional.

Cabe recordar que el Congreso produce contenidos, en un principio, en más 8 lenguas originarias, para su programación de TV y radio y, así, llegar a la mayor cantidad de peruanos y peruanas en las zonas más alejadas del país y los compatriotas en distintas partes del mundo.
