Esta iniciativa, implementada por el Instituto ADEX el 2023, tiene como objetivo acompañar de manera cercana e integral a los alumnos de educación superior, con la meta de evitar la deserción estudiantil, problemática presente en todos los países de esta parte del mundo.

‘Vida ADEX’ cumple con todos los criterios con el propósito de ser reconocido como una buena práctica en la educación superior. “Puede ser replicado por otras instituciones siempre que se ajuste a las características de sus estudiantes”, señaló la jefa de Bienestar y Éxito Estudiantil del Instituto ADEX, Gabriela Zárate Montalvo, quien participó en el evento como ponente.

Si bien es fundamental la formación técnica y académica –continuó –, el éxito profesional no debe reducirse a esos parámetros; también debe tomarse en cuenta una formación holística, en la cual se incluya el desarrollo de habilidades blandas como trabajo en equipo, liderazgo, adaptabilidad, entre otras.

“VIDA ADEX”
El programa se implementó este 2023 como una necesidad de ofrecer al alumno del Instituto ADEX un acompañamiento integral durante toda su etapa académica. “La pandemia marcó un antes y después en la educación, a partir de eso se decidió reinventar nuestras estrategias de seguimiento y renovar nuestras acciones en favor de los estudiantes”, dijo Zárate Montalvo.

‘Vida ADEX’ consta de 10 actividades, las cuales se llevan a lo largo de toda la carrera, pero priorizando el primer año, etapa fundamental en la adaptación del educando y donde se establecen los cimientos necesarios a fin de lograr un egreso exitoso.

La primera es una jornada de inducción, en la cual se ejecutan pruebas de diagnóstico a nivel académico y emocional del ingresante con el propósito de, en función a sus características, potenciar sus competencias.

Además, se llevan a cabo nivelaciones académicas a través de talleres; un encuentro de familias, el cual tiene como meta orientar a los familiares y así sean el soporte y contención, en casa, del estudiante; y un programa de docentes tutores.

También realizan monitoreos académicos semanales, donde en función a sus calificaciones y asistencias se toma la decisión de entablar contacto personal con el educando. Asimismo, se brinda un soporte financiero, donde a partir de una evaluación, se determina una posible ayuda con el objetivo de evitar una deserción.

Otras acciones están ligadas al aprendizaje vivencial con la participación de empresas aliadas, a la vinculación laboral, especializada en el desarrollo de competencias en la facilitación de la inserción en el mercado, y a la integración social.

CONSIDERAR LO SIGUIENTE
-La edición N° 12 del Clabes, realizada el 2023 en Chile tuvo como lema “Docencia y acompañamiento para la equidad e inclusión en educación superior”.

-ADEX participó con la ponencia: ‘Programa para el acompañamiento integral a estudiantes de educación superior Vida ADEX’.

-En el evento, participaron instituciones académicas de países como Chile, Argentina, Brasil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Uruguay, México, Costa Rica, España, entre otros.

“ADEX LIFE”

‘ADEX Life’ consists of 10 activities, which are carried out throughout the entire degree, but prioritizing the first year, a fundamental stage in the adaptation of the student and where the necessary foundations are established in order to achieve a successful graduation.

The first is an induction day, in which diagnostic tests are carried out at the academic and emotional level of the incoming student with the purpose of, based on their characteristics, enhancing their skills.

In addition, academic leveling is carried out through workshops; a family meeting, which aims to guide family members and thus be the support and containment, at home, of the student; and a teacher tutor program.

They also carry out weekly academic monitoring, where based on their grades and attendance, the decision is made to establish personal contact with the student. Likewise, financial support is provided, where, based on an evaluation, possible help is determined with the aim of avoiding desertion.

Other actions are linked to experiential learning with the participation of allied companies, labor relations, specialized in the development of skills in facilitating market insertion, and social integration.
