Esta modalidad de pago ya recorrió 10 regiones: Áncash, Apurímac, Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cajamarca, Huancavelica, La Libertad, Piura, Puno y Ucayali; y continuará progresivamente en las demás regiones del país.

Por ejemplo, en Ucayali recibieron subvención económica 401 personas del centro poblado Curimaná, provincia de Padre Abad.

Los “carritos pagadores” permiten mayor seguridad y ahorro de tiempo y dinero a los usuarios y usuarias. Además, evitan largos y costosos traslados hacia zonas urbanas donde se ubican las agencias del Banco de la Nación.

Pensión 65 tiene actualmente 627 924 usuarios y usuarias en los 1 890 distritos del país, quienes cuentan con cinco modalidades de pago: en agencias del Banco de la Nación, a través de tarjetas de débito en agentes municipales y corresponsales; por las Plataformas Itinerantes de Acción Social – PIAS y mediante el cobro por Tercera Persona Autorizada.

Con el propósito de habilitar más puntos cercanos de cobro, Pensión 65 inició también el proceso de modernización del pago, mediante la entrega masiva de tarjetas de débito. A la fecha, más de 57 mil afiliados al programa social cuentan con la herramienta financiera, previa capacitación en su uso.

Mediante esta modalidad de pago se fortalece la inclusión financiera de las personas adultas mayores, ya que a partir de ahora podrán cobrar su subvención bimestral de forma más rápida y segura.

Y en prevención ante los posibles efectos del Fenómeno El Niño, desde octubre los usuarios de Pensión 65 están cobrando la subvención correspondiente al bimestre setiembre – octubre y, también lo que corresponde al padrón de noviembre-diciembre 2023; por lo cual cada usuario está recibiendo 600 soles.

Cabe mencionar que el primer abono del año 2024, de enero-febrero, empezará a pagarse en el mes de febrero y se realizará de forma escalonada.
